I remember seeing him when I was a kid.  Serious question : What was he great at?  Great entertainer?

Bobby was old school wrestling at it's finest.  I use to buy wrestling magazines back in the 70's and that's how I found out about him.  He was manager of the Blackjacks at the time I believe, Blackjack Lanza and Blackjack Mulligan.

He could talk and generate heat like you wouldn't believe.  And he would take a beating so bloody, in chain matches and strap matches.  Back in those days, blood sold tickets...obviously not so much these days.  I was going to post a picture from one of those magazine covers with Bobby's face a crimson red...but felt it could be offensive to some people.  You can search and easily find them if you like.

Bobby and Gorilla were one heck of a team!

The Heenan family...the Blackjacks, Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Andre the Giant, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Heenan was a great heel manager and one of the all-time best personalities in the wrestling business. Heck maybe all entertainment. Truly a loss. RIP Bobby.
