Sources: Former Celtics draft pick Jordan Mickey is finalizing a guaranteed $1.5M minimum deal with the Miami Heat, with '18-19 team option.

crap!!! with mickey dominated inside with defense and olly dominating outside with his shooting, miami has a dynasty in the making. why can't ainge get players like these???
hey, wait a minute.....

Who's Jordan Mickey?

Hope he succeeds. Nice contract for him.
I'd say he is the one guy whom Brad couldn't figure out how to use well.

I'd say he was always destined to play overseas. He has 2 years left on his rookie deal? Then overseas, where he won't be drastically undersized and his lack of an offensive skillset won't matter.

Maybe they can bring back Gerald Green and just roll with our bench from last year.

Huge contract. Good system to showcase his one NBA skill.
-
He was an upside gamble that didn't work out. Miami will give it a go and then he'll head to Europe

I think that I'd be another guy that Brad couldn't figure out how to use well. I guess because I don't have NBA talent either.

Isn't he making the same as Derrick Rose now?

Kid's a one trick pony. He won't get time in Miami either.

Seriously though, Mickey is a decent shot blocker (career 3.1 BP-36 minutes). He can shoot a mid-range shot, but he could have been legend with a 3-pointer.

Mickey got a job in the NBA and Bass goes to China?
Execs sure love "potential."

That's a bit of a skewed statistic, considering he averaged 6.9 bp-36 in his rookie year (in a whopping 57 total minutes played), which fell to 1.5 in his second year, where he got to play 141 minutes.
His best ability (shot-blocking) is mediocre at best.

because he always looked lost on the court.

I saw that drop-off, but the minutes are so small in both seasons that I don't think it is really representative. He has the shot-blocking skill if not the numbers.
