Leaks are already starting to come out.
Celtics and Sixers to play in London in January.

Apparently the Sixers will play New York on a Christmas Day game, too, meaning we're probably going to get a game at Washington.

There is some serious irony going on with the 76ers being the home team in London, hahahaha.
-
The poor English. I can see Adam Silver being like "you can root for the 'Irish' away team or the home team that's named for us taking our independence from you." And then under his breath "...'murica."

Will definitely buy tickets as a gift to self for Christmas to see this game!

This will be the Celtics 31st Christmas Day Game and only their 2nd one at home!!!
According to legend, Red Auerbach used to request away games on Christmas so that Boston Garden staffers would not have to work on Christmas. What a guy!
-
To me these games are all about Mike and Tommy who I cannot get out it's a nationally shown game
-
Xmas home game? Wow.

Overall this is a pretty fair schedule. A decent amount of home stands and 25 National televised games. I have no complaints.

I counted 34 with NBATV. With my home teams (NYC), that makes 40, which makes it hard to swallow buying the LP for just half the games and very few marquee ones. There will surely be Fan Vote games or other add ons upping that total, but it's a tradition I've done ever since 2004, and I won't stop now.

Looks like we get a nice little break in January, too. I think we only have the London game in a nine day stretch.

34 games that won't be covered by League Pass is depressing. For those of us who no longer reside in the Boston area (or never have) and don't get free games on CSN anymore this is the cost of having a good basketball team - more nationally televised games.
But I'll still get League Pass since I intend on catching a lot of the Nets and Lakers games given our stakes in their records.

trying to get tickets to opening night now :)
-
Hm Lakers at Boston game so soon I see!
-
Does anyone know when the tickets for the game in London will become available?

Thanks GC
it was in front of me and i didn't see it :D
I already have the plane tickets... Now i need to get into O2 Arena!!

I love the new schedule. The pattern I'm most happy with is January. Traditionally we used to have tons of home games (10 or 11) scheduled in January that were all non-marquee games. It was a brutal stretch of bad games in bad weather for season ticket holders.

Possible post of year

2 West Coast swings which is typical, one in Jan then another one in March:
Jan: LAL, LAC, GSW, Den
March: Por, Sac, Phx, Uta
However, no defined Texas swing this season where they would visit Hou, Dal, SAS in the same trip.
