I haven't seen any other more reliable source actually verify this yet, but it's been rumored for awhile that this was a possible Christmas Day game. It makes sense after our heated battle with them in the playoffs, too, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was accurate.

Well friggen verify it, jpotter!

Me thinks he is either using somebody else's guess as fact (see this twitter comment via Reddit where the guy later said it was just his guess, not anything official). (https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/comments/6r98ly/the_nba_christmas_day_schedule_features_a_celtics/)
Or is maybe trying to be one of those guys who throws out a calculated guess to make it seem like he has inside sources when his guess comes true.
I mean I would bet money that it will be BOS/WAS on Christmas Day, because the only other team that makes sense for Boston is Cleveland and they'll probably be playing GS again (or maybe league is waiting to see what happens with Irving?).

It make sense, which means it could just be a good guess on the Tweeter's part.
Hey, maybe this means we'll finally get a home game on Christmas!
