The newest Brooklyn Nets center...
Mike

Just need DA to find the next Brooklyn and rip them off ;D

Don't we own the Memphis 2019 pick? You never know if it's in the lottery or is nit protected?

Maybe Memphis 2019 & BOS 2019 for a lottery pick down the road?

Shaq's son looks like the cream of the crop.
-
We should wait for the youngest of Giannis brothers :D ... Both the older brothers Thanasis and Giannis say that Alexandros is the best of the 4 bros.
-
Shaq's son looks like the cream of the crop.
Meh. Shaq's son is okay. Not a franchise talent by any stretch. Bagley on the other hand has been on the scene since the 9th grade. He's stayed #1 the entire time in spite of the internet sensation that is Zion Williamson.
Speaking of which, how can you have a post of 2019 and not include Zion? If you've been living under a rock, and have not seen him, enjoy:

Wow! Shaq's son looks like a much more talented player than Shaq! A totally different player, thin and wiry, and mobile with a nice looking shot.

Not the most picturesque jump shot but goodness gracious :o That boy is ferocious.
-
Yeah, Zion looks like a human video game character. That's insane. :)

If Yabu is the dancing bear, that kid Zion is the flying bear.
-
Wow I had never heard of Bagley before. Kid reminds me of a better and much bigger Andrew Wiggins.
-
Too bad we no longer have the Nets to tank for us that year. Let's just hope the Grizz sucked enough for 2019-21 to get an unprotected pick.
-

He's great. Wish we had a Brooklyn '19, too.
-
If Bagley were in the '18 draft, would he be the top pick?

If we don't get the Lakers' 2018 pick we could potentially get the #2 in 2019. Of course tons of luck involved there, but it's possible to get one of these kids without making any additional trades.

What about RJ Barrett, he is getting a lot of hype too:

If Bagley were in the '18 draft, would he be the top pick?
Mike
Absolutely! He'd have been the top pick as a Junior HS eligible. He'd have been the top pick for past several years other than Anthony Davis. This one is a no doubter.
-
If Bagley were in the '18 draft, would he be the top pick?
Mike
I definitely think so. In fact, he is a year old for his class and reportedly has enough credits to reclassify.
He has some college visits lined up for early next month. Hopefully one of them can convince him to join their 2017 class.
-
Moses Brown should be in the discussion for one of the top 5 picks as well.
It's a [dang] shame we have NO SHOT at Bagley, even if we tried trading for him we'd have to give up the farm and all future farms.
-
The 2019 Draft Class has to be the greatest name draft of all time. Just look at some of these names:
Marvin Bagley Jr. -- sounds so smooth and soulful, like his game
Zion Williamson -- Zion? excellent name
Moses Brown -- the nba always needs a moses
Cameron Reddish
Romeo Langford -- there's a lot you can do with this name
Bol Bol -- c'mon, son
Kostas Antetokounmpo -- greak freak the sequel
Brandon McCoy -- sounds like a cowboy
Simisola ****tu -- sweet last name; so sweet it got filtered lol
Sekou Doumbouya
Khavon Moore
Shareef O'Neal --shaq's son
Louis King -- sounds like a jazz/blues legend
Killian Tillie -- is this player fictional?
Nazreon Reid -- nazreon? right up there with zion
Immanuel Quickley -- quickley?!
Jaylen Hands -- hands?!
De'Anthony Melton -- meltin'?!
Billy Preston -- sounds like a daytime drama character
Silvio De Sousa -- part-time nba player/part-time mma fighter
Seventh Woods -- sounds like the unfolding of a prophecy

Bagely is projected to be a great player but he does not posses the insane length that AD does. Length is not a deciding factor at all, if a guy can ball he can ball...I;m just throwing it out there.
Also have seen that Bol BOL has been measured with a 9'8'' standing reach....that would be the longest ever.
-
I'd rather have Bagley than both Ayton and Porter Jr.
Just Bagley > Ayton and Porter

I don't know about that, because I'd like 2 shots at an elite player, but I think most agree that Bagley is a better prospect than both, and maybe the best in several years.

Pretty sure his reach isn't as long as his fathers......
AD doesn't have insane length. It's rather ordinary as NBA big men go. He's just a great player.
In the minds of some, Bagley as more highly regarded at this point in his development than AD was. Rivals didn't even have AD as the top prospect in the country as a HS senior.

Yeah, it would be strange for him to have a higher standing reach than his father, who was ~5 inches taller. Also, I've read Rudy Gobert has a standing reach of 9'9".
-
I'm not as sold on Bagley as others who instantly see the hype.

I've just heard about him and I already hate him because for a sweet second I thought it was gonna be John Bagley Jr.

You just can't teach that kind of athleticism.

It appears that Marvin Bagley might reclassify and play college ball this upcoming season.

FWIW: Mohammad Bamba's standing reach has been measured at 9' 6".

This would be incredibly good news for us. Means 2 maybe-transcendent talents (him and Doncic) in a year that we have the Nets pick and likely the Lakers pick.

The draft definitely got more interesting.

Even if we don't get the Lakers pick, at this point it turns what looks like a 4 stud draft into a 5 stud draft. Less stress over the Nets pick. Would be huge!

exactly. I'm also seeing people say Bagley is way better than porter or anyone. bagley is equal to porter so far and probably equal to the others. All these guys are good and we'd be lucky to be any of them on board.
