The Cavs had things way too easy in Game 1. And whatever game plan Brad came up with to limit the Cavs defensively just totally failed. Cleveland was shooting near 60% from the field for much of the game. That can't happen. And the C's have to do better than 1 for 15 from 3 pt range which is what they were at one point.
I think they'll play a lot better in Game 2. Whether its enough to win though...not sure. LeBron is a beast right now. Too bad we can't resurrect a younger Paul Pierce put on the floor to guard him because no one on the current roster can slow him down.

I think part of the problem was that Brad and co. didn't have enough time between game 7 and game 1 to come up with a plan, and practice it enough with the players. The other problem was the players had no legs, that was indicative with all the missed jumpers, layups, and free throws last night.
That's part of making it to the Finals though, and this is a great learning experience for Brad and the players. You have to be more in shape than you imagine, and be ready to prep for a new team or make major adjustments instantly.

I don't think we're beating Cleveland in a best of 7. That said, I wish the C's would show some fight in every game. They disappointed me in game 1 (except for Brown and Smart). I hope they rise to the occasion in game 2, win or lose.

That's why you can't top 1980s NBA before all the expansion and star call rules changes. The NBA should have just let the Warriors Cavs play from the get go less chance of injury.

If they got rid of 6-8 teams the NBA would be much better. There are just too many mediocre players starting that should be bench guys. That's why you can't top 1980s NBA before all the expansion and star call rules changes. The NBA should have just let the Warriors Cavs play from the get go less chance of injury.

This team is good enough to beat anyone in the East but Cleveland. They are 3 or 4 years away from that as things are constructed

I think it's also a pretty resounding statement about this Celtics team.
They were over matched from opening tip of game one and instead of fighting like underdogs they have mostly just played tight and gotten destroyed.

Horford was signed so we'd have a shot at KD. It was worth the shot. If we had gotten KD Danny would've made a bunch of moves at the deadline because with Horford,IT, and KD you have a chance against The Cavs.

My first playoff game ever I turned off at halftime. How can this team lay such a big egg in front of all the loyal fans? It seems like only a couple guys on the team play with real heart and pride. If you mean because of this game, you're better than that jp. You know one lost game or one lost series doesn't effect what these players and agents think. They look at a bigger picture than that.
And Fultz won't be ready to lead this team for 3-4 years. You draft him, sign IT and let them play together for a few years to see if Fultz is the real deal. If he is then you trade IT.
I agree with some of what you said, but how is it you know Fultz won't be ready to contribute ina year or two. I will give you it will be an adjustment period as a rookie, but by year two he should be a major contributor.

How good can Fultz be? Is he a Tim Duncan or Lebron type of prospect, a franchise changing all time great, or a Kyrie Irving, James Harden type of player, or IT, Damien Lillard level?
If I had to bet all my TPs, I'd say an Irving/Harden. Idk if this was mentioned in any of the comps thread, but offensively a hybrid of Irving/Harden may be a really good projection.

Lillard uses burst to get to his spots on the floor. Fultz looks to break guys down with his handle, hesitation, and timing. Harden is in that mold.
Well...I just think he has that potential to average 30+ points and have close to double digit assists in his prime while leading a team to titles. I would've agreed before the lottery, but unless Fultz comes out and is less than impressive, I don't see it now that we'll have his replacement already drafted. Further, with it looking less and less likely that we'll sign a major free agent this summer and that we're anywhere close to matching Cleveland, I don't see why we would.

You can't move Al.Yup Bradley is not very good aside from defense he's poor at everything else. He's not a reliable shooter don't care how much he averages or what dude is streaky always injured and can't be relied upon. He can't dribble he can't pass and he can't finish.
Listen to offers on thomas. If someone gives you a great offer(unlikely) then pull the trigger. Otherwise keep the 2 of them and exist as a pretender until the opportunity to leap to contention presents itself.
These playoffs have more solidified my stance on trading Bradley. It makes way too much sense.
