Here are the ESPN writers awards picks. 3 have Stevens for COY, 3 have Thomas for MIP and 1 has Smart for 6th man.

How do these awards work? Do the writers just send in their pick or do the send in a top 3?
If the former, I think Embiid wins ROY. If the latter, Brogdon probably does. Embiid only playing 31 games has been discussed a lot. Haven't seen anyone mention that Brogdon didn't win a single rookie of the month. Has there ever been a ROY who didn't win at least 1 ROM?

Surprised by how few votes Brad received for COY.
Also, I'm biased tegarding Embiid, but in another work setting would he not be considered a part-time employee?! Tough choice there for ROY.

Embiid won rookie of the month for November, December and January and had a legitimate case for being an all-star. Saric won it in February and March but only after Embiid's injury. I don't see much of an argument for Brogdon. He'd be a weaker ROY than MCW. Embiid's part time was better than any other rookie's full time.
