fourth by a few minutes. crud. TP for another great thread FL
Rough start...
Holy hell did Smart just block Giannis?
Holy hell did Smart just block Giannis?
He didn't get the ball but totally disrupted Giannis' attempt.
That's a BS call. That's a clear charge with Giannis lowering his shoulder. You could hear the crowd groan WALK.
And then gets away with a blatant travel! Since when did he become Lebron with the star calls?!

It4 argues and gets the tech every time.
Lebron argues every call and never gets anything.
How could you leave him wide open for a 3 smh
Anyone know what that tech on IT was for?

Kelly frustrates me.
Jaylen has touched the ball once while Smart and Kelly pound the ball or put up bricks. Get the young kid the ball man. The man makes plays

I don't think Marcus looks for Jaylen.

Crowder definitely doesn't.

Nope. Jaylen is just left open a lot and the ball doesn't show up.
Maybe losing is blesssing to avoid Bucks and Heat . Let LeBron deal, with em. ;D

He's a rookie on the number one seed in the East with the 8th best offense and a top-5 offensive player in the league on his team. That's going to happen. It's happens to a lot of rookies on good teams like this. I'm as big of a Jaylen fan as anyone, but he has to assert himself more if he wants the ball more. That's just how it works in the NBA, especially for young guys.
Maybe losing is blesssing to avoid Bucks and Heat . Let LeBron deal, with em. ;D
I'd like to watch Bucks/Cavs.
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! THEY'RE CALLING THAT ON SMART?!Justice served. Foul on Middleton, and he missed the ft!
That ref is a complete bufoon. It was Middleton who hit Smart with the elbow. Why is Smart getting a call and a technical?
Those reviews lately are out of control.
Our number one priority this summer has to be to get a secondary scorer, especially since we'll probably not have AB's services next year. We rely on IT's scoring way too much for a number one seed. One of Hayward or Griffin would be nice, along with Fultz off the bench. ;)
Maybe losing is blesssing to avoid Bucks and Heat . Let LeBron deal, with em. ;D

Just because the Bucks are wearing Green doesn't mean they're the home team.
I swear we get more favorable calls on the road
No Olynyk in the second half.
No Olynyk in the second half.
Brad always plays him, no matter what.
I want him off the team next year.
He's just not very good.

One for you. You seemed to have turned it around. ;)
Mike
Amir, don't let that old man score on you.
cant win if u miss so many wide open threes...
Imagine that - Smart comes into the game and the intensity changes.
Our offense relies way too heavily on IT, and our D/intensity relies way too heavily on Smart.
bolded times 1 million.Imagine that - Smart comes into the game and the intensity changes.

Brown!
Don't understand bringing in ROzier in the second half once again, though.
Marcus Smart is our best power forward.says as much about our power forwards as it does Marcus.
What a terrible call. Clearly a block by Delly
Marcus Smart is our best power forward.says as much about our power forwards as it does Marcus.
"Jason Terry blocks Marcus Smart's Jumper" ?
Jason Terry?
A really disappointing way to end the quarter.
Kelly, please try to help on defense.
He is so bad!
Olynyk and Rozier = bad
Monroe ALWAYS kills us it seemsWell he's up against soft Kelly
Kelly is -16.
Last game he was something like -18.
His foot was on the circle... yet another effing terribel call from the ref. My God, how effing bad can they be?
zeller wants kellys playoff minutes ;D

He can have them.
OMG Zeller. How do you miss that bunny?!
Rozier gets slapped on the arm and no foul. ****
OMG Zeller. How do you miss that bunny?!
You needed a TP
Your our hardest working cheer leader
Zeller is the worst. I would like to set him on fire.

A cheerleader could play center for us now and it wouldn't make a difference
Freaking bench Rozier already! He can't defend and can't discern between a good and bad shot apparently, so why the hell is he out there? That's twice in the last several possessions he's ruined a possession with a rushed, bad three pointer.
Celtics are winning this game.
We know how to close, they don't.
I'd really rather have Brown taking those shots instead of Rozier.
meanwhile westbrook has 55-11-11 just fyi :o
Rozier major in college
Brick layer

I honestly find it hard to argue AGAINST co-MVP. Harden and Westbrook BOTH deserve it honestly. Will be a tough call at the end.

I didn't know Tim Donaghy was coming out of retirement for this one.Tim wasn't as incompetent and obvious as this
This guy...
A loss here would be devastating after all that.
Come on C's!
Bucks look like they are better than us. How is that?it seems just about every team in the league is exactly as good as us since the all-star break.
Bucks look like they are better than us. How is that?
Well, hopefully we can pull this one out.
Still can't figure out Brad's rotational decisions.
So we struggle against the Heat, we struggle against the Bucks, #1 seed or not, you gotta be at least a bit worried about our chances in the 1st round.

We're 7-0 versus the Heat in the last two years. Where's this notion that we struggle against the Heat coming from? lol
Can someone tell me the score/time? My stream decided to stop completely...
So Snell straight up pushes Crowder with two hands on the baseline for just a foul, but Smart held Giannis' shoe for a flagrant? Screw these refs I'm so done with it.

101-98, 36 seconds left. Our ball after timeout.

101-98 Bucks on top
Absolutely putrid D by Boston the last two minutes. That was pretty good D in that last sequence. Brogdon just hit a shot...make that another shot...ugh
Ive never seen a second round pick be so good right away.he is 24 tho.
What will Brad draw up?
I'm betting on IT as a decoy and Smart or AB taking the shot (probably AB after a screen by Al)
Bradley a "all-NBA defender" has gotten slaughtered from Brogdon a freaking rookie. Also completely disappeared. Bum

If Smart takes the final shot, Stevens should be fired on the spot.
Miami gave you a glimpse the other night how any team can beat the Celtics and now the Bucks are doing the same. Both lower seeded teams that are capable of knocking out the Celtics in the first round. This team is not even close to being a true number 1 seedThe Celtics biggest problem right now is that Olynyk and Rozier have sucked for the past 3 weeks.

Absolutely terrible loss. This is what they get for being effing entitled and not coming out to play at the beginning.Or, you chalk it up to the fact that "it's basketball" and that losses can happen and you move on?
In a lot of ways, I'm just ready to be done with this season. This team is so infuriating. Other than a select few players, they think they're much better than what they are, and every single time they lose that chip on their shoulder, they play terribly.
Just a terrible, terrible loss and really shows where this team is at. It's not the best team in the East, not when it can't even put together 48 straight minutes of hard work, intensity, and solid play 7 games before the playoffs.

How many open 3's did Rozier miss?2
This team's demise will be the fact that they tend to think they are better than they really are.
Absolutely terrible loss. This is what they get for being effing entitled and not coming out to play at the beginning.Jeeze, i hope you dont live near any cliffs. We lost a tough game to a playoff team. Can you name a team that has played intense for 48 straight minutes? It doesnt happen. Guys miss shots and have lapses defnsively.

team coasted early on and it bit them in the butt. on top of that:
Crowder: 4-12
Smart: 4-15 (although some were end of clock/quarter heaves)
AB: 5-14.
Can't have that many players taking double-digit shots laying bricks.
Also:
Brown: 13 minutes -- -21
KO: 7 minutes -- -16
Young: 5 minues -- -12
that group of players killed us on the court in a very short amount of time.

Broken play, Giannis got his long arms on the inbound pass, deflected it, there was a bit of a scramble, and Smart ended up with it with chance at a heave from well beyond the line. He did try to get fouled on the shot, which threw him off. But it was very unlikely to go in no matter what.

Um, Milwaukee just did tonight. Miami does every game. That's why those teams are so successful right now. It literally happens all of the time.
I keep hearing this same excuse, but did people not watch us the last two years? We don't play with half of the intensity that we did in the past two years, and it leads to terrible losses like this.
I mean, this is literally the exact thing that Brad has been harping on for like the last month. Hell, even tonight Scal was talking about one of Brad's huddles saying this. Saying, "They're good. We're actually going to have to play and hustle with intensity to win this game." And we didn't until it was too late, which cost us another critical game down the stretch.
IT, Horford, Johnson and Crowder have been playing really well. If you look at the past few games they get in trouble when the bench doesn't produce. Olynyk has been terrible for a few games now, Rozier has struggled, Brown has for the most part hit a wall, and Jerebko looks like he's fallen out of favor.team coasted early on and it bit them in the butt. on top of that:

Chicago Bulls are going to get rolled over tomorrow by LeBron James.
That was a nice moment to have for the #1 seed while it lasted.
Smart shot 18% from 3 in the month of March 11/60

I re-wound it and he had PLENTY of time to hit a WIDE OPEN Avery in the corner for a tying three!!! How did he NOT see him??? Hero ball???????

More lack of clock awareness/loss of composure due to the broken play.
This might have been a game where the length and higher release of Green and Jerebko might have helped, at least more than Young, who actually checked into a close NBA game. Their length bothered our shooting.

Why do you say that? He gets crunch time mins because he generally makes smart, winning plays. I'd blame him for not making the right pass, if AB was wide open.

Middleton left Bradley in the corner to go contest.
The better play would have been to pass the ball to Bradley, but I certainly dont think its egregious for a player to catch the ball in a broken play with under 3 seconds left in the game and assume he has to shoot it.
Ive got a bigger problem with his inability to get the ball to Thomas on the inbound.

I feel for IT.
The man is consistent. It must be very frustrating to lose a game like that.
I'm guessing Milwaukee's length really bothered the C's.
That's why they took his personal away (I'm not even sure this conformed with the rules for video review), and gave him a bogus Flagrant-1 so as not to toss him? The refs didn't have it in for anyone, they just had a bad night for the most part.QuoteI'm guessing Milwaukee's length really bothered the C's.
it did some. But the refs had it in for Marcus. We just did not play with fire or well. Their bench owned ours, we had like two players show up. We are going to have off nights, I wonder if rising to first place went to our heads.
