Both Green and Young are on expiring contracts, so they aren't eligible to be traded on draft night. I also can't see Danny giving up almost $4 million in cap space before free agency just so that Pierce can retire a Celtic right now. If Pierce comes to the team this summer to retire a Celtic, it will be for the shortest term and least money possible after being bought out by the Clippers

Offer them a future top 58 protected second rounder for a top 59 protected plus PP.

There will be some kind of a transaction at end of season allowing Pierce to retire a Celtic. I certainly don't think it will require a trade.

Pointless Sentimentalism.   He can still retire a Celtics without wasting assets.

Yeah, it's a silly idea.  Could the Clippers simply cut him now and clear waivers?

He's already said he's going to sign a one day contract to retire a Celtic and has Docs support on doing so as well.
