Context: It's the Summer of 2017, Pelicans missed the playoffs, Boogie and the Brow are a bust. Celtics were just eliminated in 5 games from the ECF.
Demps: Hey Danny, It's Dell.
Ainge: Yo, what's up, son?
Demps: Look, Boogie and the Brow are a little redundant. I'm looking to move the Brow because I don't want to pay him that super deal and plus I'll get more value for him on the open market. Plus, Boogie has been okay since being here and their talent is just about equal. Do you have any interest?
Ainge: Bruh, for real? Of course.
Demps: I want IT, Bradley, Crowder, Rozier, Mickey, BKN 18, and Zeller's instant relief contract. I'm also going to ask that you take on that Asik cat, he's useless.

I know you were kidding. But it's important to note that Stern didn't veto the trade as the commissioner, he shut the trade down as the Pelicans (Then Hornets) owner.

I would actually suggest trading Bradley for Cousins... And I think the Pelicans would actually agree to do that, if Ainge threw in a late first round pick, and a few second rounders.
Davis is better off as a small ball 5, or 4 with a defending interior 5.

Davis is better off as a small ball 5, or 4 with a defending interior 5.
Davis doesn't want to play the 5, he's been pretty vocal about that.

People realize we'd be trading for a 23 year old future Hall of Famer who is locked up for four more seasons on what will soon be a below-market contract, right?
I'm a "win now" person, but I'd be happy building around the NBA's best big man along with Brown, a top-4 pick, and max cap space. It's basically IT, a lottery pick, and good role players for a young superstar.

I would give up both Brooklyn picks and the players mentioned if that's what it took.

I don't think the trade is constructed quite right. NOP have Holiday so why would they need IT too? Here is my idea. Give them IT, Horford, Bradley and Crowder and take back Holiday and Davis (and Asik too if we need to). That gives them a whole new team to put around Cousins and we go all in for youth. Probably we throw in the BKN 2018 too but at that point, we may be over paying.

Interesting takes. Some have suggested the trade would be vetoed for ripping off the Hornets, some would hang up suggesting the Celtics were giving up too much.

Irony intended. But also wanted to make everyone think about which of these two teams would you really rather have moving forward? I prefer the young version over the old version but of course this particular young version includes Davis which makes it a lot easier to like that what reality may be.

If we could kick off a youth movement built around Brown, Davis, and Fultz while keeping some of our young sidekicks, you have to do it. Also in the East, that team is good enough to be a playoff player already. Let alone what it will be one day.

I take Anthony Davis over all those players, and I firmly believe in the hands of Stevens, Davis would literally be in the same position as IT, Westbrook, James, and Harden easily..
But we give up a lot... I dunno how I feel about that lol. Could we still get George?
Smart, George, Davis, and any center/shooting guard would make us a top 3 team in the east with plenty of room and potential to develop. Brown could be at the 2.
