I believe it. Sprinters are wired differently. He's Among the fastest twitch athlete'sin the world. The Kenya's are slow twitch guys that can go for ever.
I'm a medium twitch athlete. I could bench 225 pounds 23 times, but my max was not that impressive.

Athletes of his caliber are sports specific. He would not want to run the mile because it mess with his fine tuning.

I call BS.
A 1 mile run is nothing. Now, he might not when training since he became professional and hasn't run a mile while fine-tuning himself, OK, that's something.
But NEVER run a mile in his life? Please.

Yeah, Bolt is telling stories here. Two of his strides is ~ equivalent to a mile.

Im sure Usain has gone on runs that were more than 1- mile in distance. His agent was simply saying that Usain had never run a timed mile in his professional carerr, so theres no way to know what his mile time would be. His absurd stride suggests to me he could easily break 5 minutes. Hes trained for briefly and run a 45 second 400 meter race so, Id imagine he could easily break 5.

Kind of an old story that's been told a bunch so I believe it. Also they run meters if anything, they don't go by miles.

I remember watching Carl Lewis get smoked in the 800 m meter run on the Super Stars. I remember waiting for him to kick into gear but he never did.
