Is anyone else out there interested in the Championship match that will be played this evening between the U.S. and Japan?
I think it will be a great matchup. I'm torn on who I'll be rooting for. As an American, I tend to be fairly patriotic in my rooting interests, but as a citizen of the world I'm not dogmatic about it.
I love the way that Japanese women't team plays soccer. They have some of the most beautiful ball and player movement I've seen (men or women).
The U.S. women will undoubtedly try to use their size and strength advantage to beat up on the Japanese team a bit, like the English girls were able to do with some degree of success.
Should be exciting.

I know all you guys will be glued to your TVs today so I say GO USA, BEAT JAPAN !!!!

they need to atone for that choke-job 4 years ago, that was absolutely brutal. they're too good to let that happen again.

4 - 0 and a hat trick and it's not even 20 minutes in.
US is on a tear. And the last goal by Carli Lloyd, wow. Saw the Japanese goalie went forward, strikes from half way down the field.
She's been nuts today.

Good grief I turned it off at 2-0, 5 minutes ago! :o

I stopped watching it then too. This is a mismatch.

Congrats USA!

The US women played great. Very proud of the team. Kind of a shame how little press the women's world cup championship team gets in it's own country. Apart from the actual final (on fox) i didn't find much coverage at all. CBS sports had an afternoon sports update and they didn't even mention it. I guess golf coverage and reporting a few meaningless baseball scores is more important.
Great win for the US team.

Women's soccer are champs and the best the world. Men's USA soccer not so much, yet.

Fantastic dominating game by the U.S. women and we are not even soccer fans but we couldn't stop watching.
