Wow! Win the Champions League and the Copa del Rey last year, and now get fired for not winning a trophy this year. Man, high standards are expected in Real Madrid, it seems.

Hard to see how any coach could improve the current squad of Milan :-\
Unfortunately they will never get back on track unless they get a new owner who is willing to invest money in the club :'(

I know but Barca has won 2 league titles in the last 3 years and 5 compared to Real's 1 in the last 7 years.
So compared to their main rival , their lack of La Liga success you Would think is a huge reason behind his removal.

Yeah but he's only been there for two years, and won 4 trophies. Granted, he hasn't won La Liga in his two year tenure. Two years, with the last year marred by injuries to Modric, James, Bale and Benzema. You'd think he's going to get at least one more year. It's not like they catastrophically collapsed. They we're only 2 points behind Barca' and was in the UCL Semi's.
I think the pressure of Barca' potentially winning the treble is the reason, and Florentino Perez is having a panic attack, needed to blame someone so he sacked Ancelotti, who has been nothing short of great in his first year, and good in his 2nd.

Anceloti has a lot to do woth Real`s decline after Christmas ... He picked the team too early.

Perez must be blamed too. Since his first reign he wanted to create an all star team and not a real ( :D) team. You can`t just put the 11 best players on the field. Ancelloti has said "The president won`t allow to buy defensive minded players"

you are right about the injuries but at the same he pretty much drove away Khendira whule he desperately needed a DM... Any DM ! The Perez galacticos method has changed the mentality of their fan base IMHO. the only thing that matters is the first position and wins. I can`t think of another fane base hooting players like Kasillas .....
