Sad day today with the announcement of the passing of Harold Ramis. Great comedic mind behind some of the all-time classics.
-
Just saw that on Twitter.
Man, major bummer. I mean he was Egon!
Definitely one of the comic geniuses from the past 40 years or so. Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes, Vacation, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day just to name a few.

Huge bummer...I guess this closes the book on Ghostbusters 3. Probably for the best anyways.
-
jeez, I watched stripes yesterday thinking he needed to be in more movies.

Yeah, I think he was more comfortable behind the camera then doing stuff as an actor.
I remember reading once was that the only reason he played Egon was that they auditioned a bunch of people and no one was doing the character right. Since Ramis created the character and knew him better than anyone, he ended up playing him in the end.

RIP, a comic film genius. Not a fan of Ghostbusters, but Groundhog Day ranks in one of my all-time top 5 favorite comedies.

Terrible news. One of films great comedians.

R.I.P. Egon. Another genius dying too young.

Sad, but +1 to this.

Sad. Was not a great actor but you kinda knew that wasn't his main thing. Very likeable character in Stripes. Great writing/performing partnership with Bill Murray.
