Pelicans are such a fun team to watch. Anthony Davis is legitimately the second coming of KG. Or is it the second coming of Duncan? Dude is a superstar. He should eat us alive in this game.
I don't totally understand their team, though. They gave Tyreke Evans 11 mil a year to back up Eric Gordon... and Evans has been playing fairly well. That really sounds like a team poised for a trade. I thought paying Green 9 mil a year to come off our bench was a sure sign of Pierce eventually getting moved. Paying Evans 11 mil... something has to give. My guess is that they'd give up Eric Gordon for just about anything.
That's it for KO?
Wow. I guess Bass is such an important piece we can't do without..
...he's got a pair of hands Tommy says😄

KO has so much work to do to not be a defensive liability.
He just can't defend NBA bigs right now.
That's it for KO?Rather hard to question taking out KO for Bass when Bass accounts for 25% of your points so far and KO's bad defense accounted for 20% of the Pelicans points

According to you he'll be out of the league in a year, right?
Brandon Bass had a perfect first half: 6-of-6 on FGs for 12 pts. Also had 4 rebounds and a block, but the Celtics trail the Pelicans 49-43.
Steamer doin what he could do until DOC broke his confidence......nice going coach.....

I am pretty sure that if KO gets as many minutes/touches as Bass does, he would not not only have as many points but more rebounds and 3X as many assists.
And as for his defense, yeah it needs work, but can't blame every game we lose on KOs defense
After next season...yup. I stand by that statement I made that you so proudly display and except for maybe 2 games this year, seems like I was right on. If he can't play defense and can't get his shot off, things I openly worried about, then he will be headed to Europe or China after next year. That's it for KO?Rather hard to question taking out KO for Bass when Bass accounts for 25% of your points so far and KO's bad defense accounted for 20% of the Pelicans points

Good job Bass.
See Crawford burning it up ...1 for 5 :-X
Since Dec. 1, C's are scoring 108.7 points and allowing just 96.4 per 100 possessions w/ Humphries on the floor, per http://NBA.com/stats .
It I funny as some seem to say KO has no defense...then when he is out...we get killed inside...lost rotations...easy layups, many inside points.....how can he be on the bench..and causing defensive problems then..? He showed a better game than most when he was involved as he should be the other night.....that was no accident...shooting, passing, and defense....they don't often look to him as he rolls from his pick.....

There's another quote for you to display. Why not add that to the other because when it comes true, you're gonna take it down so cast its ridiculous.
This kid has Eric Montross, Brad Lohaus, Michael Smith, JaJuan Johnson, Jerome Moiso, and Acie Earl written all over him. Oh and a bunch of Adam Morrison too.

It's because his rotation is when Crawford is running the show. He will look legit when Rondo gets healthy.
Bass is having a nice game. He normally does not pass or see the cutter.

Chief giving Bass some props? Now I've seen it all! ;)
KO seals his man but Bass can't make the high\low pass.
Nice D KO.

Too bad, the phrase "WHAT A PASS BY BASS!" will never be uttered, ever..
This is when you can really tell if you're a pro-tanker or not. One possession game. Entering the 4th quarter.
Are you actively rooting for a win? Or a loss?
Pressey the mini pit bull
Pressey the mini pit bullThat along with the shameful takeaway by AB is the 2nd beat down of the NO ball handling.
Pressey the mini pit bull
I love Pressey. This summer, he will fix that 3 point shot and have a nice productive career in the NBA.
Looks as though Gerald "crashed" into Anderson thereLooks like a concussion.
We've got way too many bigs for KO getting a descent share of minutes.
Good news is that he is a rookie, bad news is that he is a relatively old rookie.
Good hustle play by Hump...again

Wallace's head must be made of steel, that was a violent strike. Hope Anderson is OK.
Gotta come up with a name here...The Green DadsPressey the mini pit bull

His father rides that boys tail.....if .he screws up......he rarely does the same mistakes next game.........I think Sully gets the same deal from his dad......

No more wrap on the wrist for Sully.
I love Hump.
Bring hump back.........he has Celtic grit
I always think the 2 on 3 fast break 3 is a bad play.I'm with ya, Chief. Defense < offense = layup.
Hey Iguadala beats the Hawks at the buzzer with a 3!!Good news is never late.
I now see I was late with the news -- got to be fast here.
Crawford will take this game into his own hands nowAnd lose it
Instead of shooting a wide open floater in the lane, Bradley tries to throw his body into Steimsma and throw up a miracle.
LOL Sullinger. Pass that up big guy.
Jcraw: 2 for 14
Sully: 3 for 17
5 for 31 between them. Ugh.

Jcraw: 2 for 14as an excuse Sully got a hand injury whilst Crawford got the Rudy Gay infection. ;D

Just in time to see the final few plays.that has been the killer in a number of games - poor execution by the celtics. sometimes at the end of games. they are not consistent in execution.
Those were both poorly executed IMO. Sully has the range, but he should not be taking that three.Jcraw: 2 for 14
Sully: 3 for 17
5 for 31 between them. Ugh.
Well atleast he had 11 assists and only 2 turnovers. But yep, he sure hit a wall shooting wise.
Just wow ...all these guards and non can hit bucket .....
Maybe we should use a draft pick......an draft a DECENT guard that can a shot
I trust BAss o shoot more than our guard s
Not Stevens fault ...he has no consistent shooter on the teami think they would become more effective if there was a better scorer for the celtics, as pierce used to be for them. the defense would then focus on the scorer and allow more space for bradley and crawford.
Maybe we need Wiggins ...for the last minute shots and dels in game.
AB and Crawford just can not be counted on to hi a shot in last five minutes of a game
At what point do we just sit Sully down for a few games so he can get his hand right? His shooting numbers have been horrible lately. 3 for 17? Come on man.

Regarding Sully's shooting numbers the last two games, at what point do we say the hand isn't the only problem but that the guys guarding him have done a tremendous job.
Sully is a PF playing against centers. The last two games with a hurt hand he play against arguably two of the better defensive centers in the league. They are taller and longer and more athletic than he is and I am sure that affected his shooting as much as a bum hand.
Enough with the let's sit Sully stuff. He is cleared to play. The trainers and medical staff say that if he plays it will not make his hand any worse because if it did that would make him injured, not just hurting.
Did his hand cause him to be off in his shots? Sure. But my guess is playing against Joakim Noah and Anthony Davis, two extremely tall, long and gifted defensive centers played a much larger role in his shooting poorly than did his hand.
Let's give some credit where credit is due. My guess is if he was matched up primarily against Carlos Boozer and Ryan Anderson because we had a real center that needed to be guarded, he would have had much better shooting nights.
