Title: Grand Theft Auto V
Post by: Yoki_IsTheName on September 16, 2013, 06:23:51 PM
I for one would be off the grid starting tomorrow. Three characters, bigger map, a ton of expectations as a GOTY candidate but most of the gaming community are in agreement that it looks awesome.

Anyone else excited about this game?

my buddy is getting this game tomorrow as well. Gonna borrow it when he is done. I kinda want to play a gangster game with an Asian theme. Something like Sleeping Dogs (I believe that's the name), just never tried it yet. Let me know how the gameplay is!

You can count me as excited. I'm going to a midnight release to pick up my Collector's Edition in a bit. Been too long since GTA IV and I'm more than ready for GTA V.

I started reading Kojaku's review of them and stopped because I was gonna go get in my car immediately. Or steal someone's car. Or plane. Or Tank.

Dont worry, just find a spray shop and you're good to go. For a few hundred dollars of course.

But hey, don't those people that got ran over have some cash?

My Xbox 360 has finally given out on me after about 5 years. It can barely play game discs and half the time the disc tray won't open. IMO, buying a new one or paying to repair it is a waste since the next gen systems are right around the corner. I want this game, but I highly doubt it's coming for PS4 or Xbox one. Feels bad man...

Go used. Pawn shops, brick and mortar game shops or DVD rental places..

We've got a bit of a drug problem in my area, someone is always selling a Xbox for 75 bucks.

IP is right, just buy a used one for a while.

Arkham Origins, Beyond: Two Souls, Assasins Creed IV and Watchdogs are coming too, there are still plenty of titles outside of GTA V coming in the next couple months. IMO it's still worth it.

This is a very good year for gaming.

I just got NHL 14, cant believe I'm shelfing it already because of GTA V tomorrow, then Batman comes up, then Watchdogs, then Battlefield 4.

So many games, so little days off.

I think missing out on gta5 might be a necessary evil for me.

I have a lot of things I want to purchase in the next few months and so little to buy it all with.

I just have to look past this one :(

I want this game for sure....but have no problem waiting a few months. I enjoy video games, but in no way consider myself a gamer :)

I'm going to wait, I have a large backlog of games and honestly prices fall so quick best to just wait for a 40% or more markdown.

Yeah, this is the model for me.  On a related note, Mass Effect 3 is pretty fun (yes I already know about the ending).

Not sure if I'll ever pick this one up, though - I haven't beaten a GTA since the first one.  And not the first GTA 3, the actual original.  Just such a huge time investment for one game that I get sidetracked sooner or later.

Yeah unless its multi-player getting it at full price isn't worth it, too many games I never finish or have yet to even really dig into.

I just finally bought Bioshock Infinite.

Any diamonds in the rough I've horribly missed out on?

I keep meaning to play Alan Wake, and never do.

Cookie Clicker (http://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker/).

What you do is you click the cookie, y'see, and then you get helpers who make more cookies, which helps you get better helpers to make more cookies to get even better cookie makers...long story short, the next thing you know you've fused the world's grandmas into a ruthlessly efficient cookie-making hivemind.  Then it gets weird.

Xbox option - go download Bastion for like 5 bucks.

The budget for Grand Theft Auto V is the highest of any video game, it has been revealed ahead of the keenly-awaited title’s release next week.

It is also is more than any movie bar Pirates of the Caribbean 3, with the game expected to make $1.57 billion in just one year.

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. ?!??!?!?!?!?!

I am a little past half way through. I was going to wait to buy, but when I heard that the DLC would be separate stories, I decided to buy it during the Steam summer sale. I love the entire Bioshock series.

Multiplayer doesn't add much value for me because it is so repetitive. I feel like multiplayer games are a dime a dozen, unlike games with great narratives, like the Bioshock games, and great open worlds, like Fallout or Elder Scrolls games.
