Shavlik Randolph
Courtney Lee
Terrence Williams

Kevin Garnett (hip)  probable

Key off the Bench
(http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.e1d/img/4.0/global/basketball/nba/players/4758.jpg)
Jordan Crawford
Doc has said that Crawford has moved in front of Courtney Lee for playing time.  Crawford is somewhat of a loose cannon.  He can be very good or very bad.   The Celtics need the very good Crawford who can give them instant offense as well as handling the ball for the second unit.

Jason Terry
JET has been very vocal off the court but hasn't given the Celtics much on the court.  He didn't score in the first game at all.  It looked like he was going to be a factor in game 2 but he disappeared in the second half when the Celtics desperately needed someone to knock down some shots.   The Celtics need Jason Terry  to get back on track.

Knicks Reserves
James White
JR Smith
Quinton Richardson
Steve Novak
Jason Kidd
Kenyon Martin

Injuries
Marcus Camby (foot) questionable
Amar'e Stoudemire (knee) out

Key off the Bench
(http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.e1d/img/4.0/global/basketball/nba/players/3835.jpg)
JR Smith
Sixth Man of the Year JR Smith has proved that he can take over a game if not guarded closely.  He is a threat from beyond the arc as well as to drive to the hoop.

Kenyon Martin
Martin has been rebounding, blocking shots and scoring for the Knicks.   He has been a big factor in both games so far.  The Celtics have to be aware of his presence at all times and need to try to keep him away from the basket.

Game Notes

The Celtics return to the TD Garden for their first game since the bombs at the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded hundreds more. As with the Bruins and the Red Sox before them, the Celtics will pay tribute to the victims and the first-responders in a pregame ceremony - and then try to put it aside and play.  The fans and the team can give each other a much needed lift.

The Celtics struggled on the road in the first two games, just as they have struggled on the road all season.    At the Garden, however they have played very well and hopefully some home cooking will be just what they need to get back on track and to even up the series.   The Celtics had a bigger home-court advantage during the regular season -  winning 13 more games in Boston than on the road - than any other playoff team in the Eastern Conference.

Kevin Garnett injured his hip in game 2 but will play and according to Doc is fine.  The Celtics need a healthy KG if they are going to win this series.   The Celtics also need to get more from their bench.  Jason Terry has been more mouth than game and they need him to snap out of his slump.   They need others to contribute as well and if the players on the court aren't getting it done, Doc needs to try someone else.

The Celtics need to somehow solve their second half woes, whether it is fatigue or focus,  they have to find a way to be consistent throughout the game and not disappear in the second half.   The Celtics can win this game and this series,  but they need to stay focused and hopefully the home crowd will be just what the Doctor ordered.

Keys to the Game
Bench Play  -  The Celtics bench must give them more.  Although  they did better in the second game with 19 points (Crawford 10, Terry9)  they still need to do better.  If the players Doc puts in don't produce,  Doc needs to go deeper into the bench as the starters can't carry the whole load.

Defense -  The saying that defense wins championships is very true.  The Celtics ability to get stops will be a big key in winning this series.  It would be nice to see them come out from the start playing lock down defense but more importantly to continue to play that defense after the half and until the final buzzer.

Move the Ball - One way to help their offensive struggles is to move the ball quicker and not allow the defenses to get set up.  They can't let the ball get stuck with any one player as iso ball won't beat the Knicks.  In moving the ball, they must make smart passes and not turn the ball over.

Be Aggressive - The Celtics must be the more aggressive team.  They have to win the 50-50 balls.  They must be more aggressive in diving for loose balls, going for rebounds, and driving to the basket.  The more aggressive team usually gets the benefit of the calls and also usually wins the game.  We know the Knicks are going to be aggressive and the Celtics must be more so.

Rebound - The Celtics must make an effort to crash the boards and win the rebounding battle.  They can limit the Knicks second chance points as well as their fast breaks by beating them to the rebounds.  It is crucial for every player to go after rebounds and fight for them.

Play Both Halves -  The Celtics have come out strong in both games on the road and had good first halves.   For some reason, they have come out after the half like a completely different team, no longer aggressive, no longer hitting shots or going to the basket and just completely coming apart.  They must somehow play strong for a full 48 minutes.

X-Factors
KG's Health and Home Court
KG injured his hip in game 2 and Doc has said he will play in game 3 but if he is limited, so are the Celtics.   There have already been questions about his ankle and now his hip.   The Celtics need a healthy and aggressive KG in order to win this series.

The Celtics return home for the first time since the Marathon bombing and so it will be an emotional return to the Garden.   The Celtics need to use that emotion and energy from the crowd and feed off of it to fuel their play.   Hopefully being back home will get them back on track.

KG with a nagging hip-flexor. Celtics playing for the first time in the TD Garden since tragic events happened. Raymond Felton is matching up against Avery Bradley.

Celtics should have every reason to win this game. This is a MUST WIN game.

A loss will be the official end to our season.

I just realized why we aren't up 2-0.  I haven't been wearing my Celtics jerseys!

I usually wear my Rondo away jerseys or away games, and KG home jersey for home games (during playoffs), so I'll be wearing KG tomorrow.

LET'S GO CELTICS!

I wore my Paul Pierce away jersey on Tuesday. I got the mean glaring looks from Laker fans at my school hahah. And then I saw someone wearing an Amare Stoudemire jersey and we just stared at each other as we walk past.

That's crazy. If I knew tickets were available for anything close to that I would have considered making the trip from NYC. Never been to a playoff game (crazyyyyy prices here in NYC). I would have expected tickets to be $250+.

First game since the Marathon, it's gonna be epic tonight. I hope the crowd doesn't let up for a second.

Let's Go Celtics!!

While I think we still have a shot of taking this, I'm on the side that thinks in the end, we'll probably lose this series. However, I still think we have a shot. And really what I'm ready to see is what I haven't seen yet.

Celtic Pride.

We show some tonight and Game 4 becomes BIG!

EVERYONE KNOWS, we lose this one tonight....

We're toast.

I tend to think Celtics have more TEAM PRIDE than any other ESPECIALLY when everyone has counted us out. I don't like thinking this team hasn't shown it's pride yet. We're all waiting on it....

We're at home. 1st home game since the bombing. Down 0-2. Everyone has counted us out....I think we play 48 minutes tonight. We win tonight and ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!!!!

GO CELTICS!!!!

WHY Is BASS on the Bench???????????????????????????????

You do NOTHING for 3/4 halves so you're rewarded by starting?

I personally think Bass is playing great in this series and I am mind blown.

Someone needs to relive Pierce of ball-handling duties.  It's tiring him out.  I was a proponent of starting Lee, but Terry is better at the PnR.  Get KG involved.

One player contesting the rebound each time against 3-4 Knicks. They just need to tap it away from the Boston player and they come up with the loose ball each time.

This is absolutely awful. It's like we don't want to play anymore. KG taking a 3 early in the shot clock. Pierce taking an awful contested 3. Nobody hustling on defense.

This frustrates me so much

I think we should stop the Full Court Pressure and just meet up Prigioni and/or Felton at the half court.

Chandler's screens are too good that it opens up a ton of people.

The shots will eventually fall, but adjustments on PnR defense needs to be made.

The philosophy to run back instead of crashing the boards coupled with our rebounding-inept players will never let our team beat a team like the Knicks. Their players, namely Chandler, are too skilled at creating second and third-chance opportunities for the Knicks.

Our team is severely flawed, and it's about time Doc adjusts temporarily with players or Danny permanently with a roster haul. This team is a disgrace to watch.

Rondo's ability to orchestrate and facilitate the half court offense and have his offense end up shooting at a high percentage, is what this team so desperately needs. Rondo is the best floor general in the league. You need a player like that in the slow it down, half court, tough it out world of the NBA playoffs.

Play crazy good defense, then just shoot it if it's within range and has space too.

The Knicks have the edge in composure, and it shows.

That's the truth. Prigioni was useless 2 years ago in the Spanish League and now him and Felton are outplaying our guards... that's unacceptable and if Prigioni and Felton, let alone 40-year old Kidd are winning the guard battle, you're in deep trouble.

We need some good play from Lee and Crawkward.

Go Celtics!

Rondo's ability to orchestrate and facilitate the half court offense and have his offense end up shooting at a high percentage, is what this team so desperately needs. Rondo is the best floor general in the league. You need a player like that in the slow it down, half court, tough it out world of the NBA playoffs.

I think it is mostly the absence of dribble penetration.

Nobody who can get inside a set defense and force the Knicks team defense off balance.
That's one way. The other is that Rondo would push the pace when needed and hold back when needed and dictate pace of the game. A lot of these awkward fast break misses would probably be converted with a proper ball handler that can penetrate or pull up or dish before the defense can even get set. Celtics have been most effect in this series when they can do this but without the proper ball handler and penetrator and facilitator, its tough to continue for a whole game.

If the players miss shots and play bad, its Doc's fault for not playing the scrubs at the end of the bench. If the players just good enough, its Doc's fault for overplaying them. If the players have massive limitations and Doc plays a form of basketball that best limits those weaknesses, he's a dolt for playing that style. If Doc moves things around, he's a buffoon for not doing it months ago.

Okay. I get it. Doc can't win with some of you. I know he has his faults(he drives me nuts with his lack of TO's at times, he loves the 1-3 screen play and doesn't play enough pick and roll and plays too much pick and pop, and his rotations at times....WOW!!!) but if the Celtics lose this series or game, it will not be because of Doc Rivers.

I know he has his faults(he drives me nuts with his lack of TO's at times, he loves the 1-3 screen play and doesn't play enough pick and roll and plays too much pick and pop, and his rotations at times....WOW!!!) but if the Celtics lose this series or game, it will not be because of Doc Rivers.

you think doc is using his players right and getting the most out of them????

If you think this is on Rivers, I have no idea what to tell you. We are at a MAJOR talent deficit to the Knicks right now. Major. It isn't close.

Jeff Green has to be a 20+ppg scorer in this series.

without letting Melo score 35+

I am more worried about the Knicks shooters than Melo. I am happy to play Melo one-on-one and live with him having big scoring nights so long as you shut down the shooters like Prigioni, Shumpert, Kidd and the big men finishing inside - Tyson and Kenyon. Felton is key to stopping those guys. Gotta stop Felton.

I will live with whatever Melo and JR Smith get. I am happy to play 2-on-5. Shut down the other guys.

this team is playing the worse they've played since 2007. That's it.

Credit the Knucklebockers for their D, but the Cs can't make a shot, and now they've lost any confidence they had.

Need some energy off the bench. Play TWill and Shav.

Go Celtics...  :(

This is one of the worst offensive teams I have ever seen. Pathetic. Defense isn't much better

again, that is why i knew deep down inside last year was our last hurrah. i did not expect to beat OKC but beating the heat would have been a great way to go out for KG and PP being eastern conference champs and having one last shot in the finals. this year is proof that DA was right in wanting to get rid of players before it was too late. well , well well

I think the question irrelevant as the margin of improvement in this team if Doc was using his players at their 100% highest efficiency wouldn't be great enough to make this team good enough to win a playoff series.

Playoff basketball is about having the right star player or group of players. The Celtics best playoff player and the Celtics best rebounding and post offensive player were both lost for the year in January. There's little anyone could have done as a coach to have made this team much better, especially given the quality of players that make up players 10-15 on this team right now.

I think this game is literally going to take me away from the Paul Pierce should finish his career with the C's camp, if he wants to play another season it really doesn't need to be with us. I would love Doc, Danny and "The Jet" to go too. What an embarrassing group we have out there, no heart, can't deal with the playoff intensity...I would much rather just rebuild with Rondo, Green, Sullinger and hope to get lucky in the draft than deal with more of this.

Rondo opens up the game for all of them. It's painfully obvious that not having a point guard is killing our offense. Bradley is barely competent enough a ball handler to play center, never mind point guard.

If it's any consolation, I expect the Spurs to do the same thing to us later on.

I know he has his faults(he drives me nuts with his lack of TO's at times, he loves the 1-3 screen play and doesn't play enough pick and roll and plays too much pick and pop, and his rotations at times....WOW!!!) but if the Celtics lose this series or game, it will not be because of Doc Rivers.

you think doc is using his players right and getting the most out of them????
I think the question irrelevant as the margin of improvement in this team if Doc was using his players at their 100% highest efficiency wouldn't be great enough to make this team good enough to win a playoff series.

Playoff basketball is about having the right star player or group of players. The Celtics best playoff player and the Celtics best rebounding and post offensive player were both lost for the year in January. There's little anyone could have done as a coach to have made this team much better, especially given the quality of players that make up players 10-15 on this team right now.

TP for you sir. Nice to hear someone remain calm amongst the hysteria of the boobirds.

just calling a spade a spade. i am not in denial. if coaching has nothing to do with it then i have some ocean front property in arizona to sell u right now!

I don't think Eddie House ever had a season this bad for us, we just didn't feel like we needed him anymore but I'd like to think he could make a lot of the shots Terry is missing. Especially in the playoffs, Terry has talked a big game all year and even got that stupid tattoo all while telling us that he would show up in the postseason...to be honest he looks just as bad.

Jeff Green and Paul Pierce are a combined 6-19 FGAs with 0 FTAs and 6 TOs.

25 possessions used, 13 points scored.

The rest of the team has used 24 possessions for 18 points. Still very poor but not as bad as the two most capable scorers on the team.

Honestly this is probably the two last games kg and pierce ever play.  We haven't been a great team in a few years.  I just hope the fans keep it classy and don't boo those guys on the way out.  They just don't have it anymore.  Winter is coming... They gave us 3-4 solid years of contention and one championship... We're about to a lotto team indefinitely.  Let's show these guys some respect for what they managed to do.  20 years of irrelevance before KG arrived and we might be heading for another 20 years of irrelevance once he leaves

Thank you, KG.  I appeciate you.

TP for you.

Unfortunately, I heard boos as the guys walked off the floor.

You kept adamantly arguing against me that Terry will show up in the playoffs. How much longer should I wait, oh omniscient professor?

Just curious, do you get some sort of vindication by proving some stranger on a blog wrong?

Yeah, I was wrong about Terry, but I'm sure you've been wrong about stuff, too.  Don't act like you're perfect.

I'm going to take a leave of absence, because I can tell things are going to get pretty nasty pretty soon.

Goodbye all.  See you in a few weeks.

It's more missed shots than anything. They've been wide open and/or right at the net time after time after time and just not hitting the shots. You can put the whole rest of the bench on the floor. Someone has to make shots. It just ain't happening.

Pierce especially looks terrible.  2-10 on great looks, 3 terrible turnovers.  Needs to regain his peak form from the regular season in a hurry for us to have any chance at this thing.

And my goodness is Jason Terry depressing to watch.  Complete non-factor offensively.

This season and this series are disappointing. No doubt. But I would not trade being a Celtics fan for anything. Greatest franchise in NBA history, always a concern for other teams (well, almost always) and you know they will be back. This is not our time, that's all. I will watch until the final tick on the clock ends this series and miss watching them until the next season begins.

Hang in there Celtics fans - losing is part of the deal sometimes.

Attacking a set defense with multiple help defenders on the ready to come across every time down. Gotta get them moving more defensively. Drive and kick. Get those defenders scrambling.

Now in 5.5 quarters of basketball, kg and pierce will ride off into the sunset and we'll be desperately tanking for Andrew wiggins... But more likely looking at 5-20 years of complete irrelevance

idk. but this is the worst celtic playoff team i have seen as far as points scored and offensive philosophy is concerned

After this playoff series, I am ready to see the back of Jeff Green.

I don't understand your hatred for Green. He has played well. Can't say the same for Pierce, Bradley, Terry, etc.

If anything, Green needs to get the ball a lot more.

Too quiet. Needs to be more aggressive.

I agree with that. It's Pierce, Terry, and Bradley that are killing us though.

Nobody has given a good account of themselves tonight.

I'm convinced that we focus too much on rest on our off days, I mean for years now we have been regressing with our jump shooters, no matter who comes here they get worse after joining us and Pierce's shot other than his flat-footed 3 pointer has gotten worse. I feel like we just don't put up as many shots as other teams do and our offense suffers. Plus we don't have a PG obviously but I'm just talking about open shots.

I'm about to give up, and look forward to the Draft.

Here's hoping this Celtics can make a fool out of me and prove me wrong, but right now even our best players' best effort is not enough, not when everyone else is playing stupid and/or too passive.

If this is KG's final year, I thank him for a championship.

I'm close to giving up, sometimes there's such a thing as too much talent and youth against the other team. Though still hoping to be proven wrong.

Let's go Celtics.

I can't get over how badly they are being beaten in this series.

The Knicks haven't even played that well. I mean, they have played well but they haven't played well enough to do this to Boston. A lot of self-inflicted damage. No-show performances from multiple players.

Ok, first things first.

1. Doc needs to bench Avery.  I hate to say it about one of my favorite players, but he is absolutely KILLING us with bad passes and decision making on offense. When you have a team as limited offensively as we are you CANNOT afford to have unforced turnnovers like this.

2. Pierce needs to completely abandon his jumpshot, which looks flat.  Every shot he takes should be attacking the basket or posting up.  If we can't get baskets, we need to try to get easy shots from the free throw line and put them into foul trouble.

3. Doc needs to make Green the focus of our offense.  He's our best scorer at this point in time, and he's being way too passive.  Doc needs to run plays for him and drill into his head that he has to take 20 shot attempts.

4. Terry has done a good job of handling the point.  When he is out, bring in Terrence Williams and give him a shot.  T-Will has a big size advantage over Felton and has the quickness to stick with any of them, and he's a solid defender.  Plus he's a steady ball handler and a good passer.

5. Give Shavlik Randolf some minutes.  When KG sits Bass plays Center and we get killed.  We need a big body who will muscle inside, hustle, fight for rebounds, get put backs, etc.  Randolf will do that if he's given a chance...

Knicks are killing us by going small, so we need to couter by going big.  KG, Randolf, Green, Pierce, Williams.  Give it a shot and see what happens.

Also try an offensive lineup...something like:
Garnett
Green
Pierce
Crawford
Terry

That lineup can spread the floor.

Doc needs to experiment, these linups aren't working

Wiggins is the best case scenario....

You tank next year... Win 15-20 games.

Low percentage chance of drafting him...  If you do, you're in the lotto again his rookie year

Probably miss the playoffs again the year after that

Then the playoffs

Then you're a contender if everything falls into place.

So 5 years from now ... durant will still be in his prime though.

But more likely we're looking at a rebuild that will take a decade or more

Maybe this embarrassing playoff series will finally lead to a change in philosophy with this team.  The surprising playoff runs has allowed this organization to feel like whatever they were doing was working.  Rebounding didn't matter, playoff seeding didn't matter, even playing well during the regular season didn't matter, not having any backup point guards didn't matter.  Maybe finally the Celtics can join the rest of the NBA.

Always TPs from me!!!

Doc is UNBELIEVABLE

Call a timeout and tell them to get on the bench or put some effort into it

Even with Rondo this offense has been terrible for a long time.  This team also hasn't been able to rebound for a long time.  There's been a lot of time to try to address this.

The absolute better team

They've improved a ton on the defensive end

They've been contesting the ball every possession, and getting their hands on a ton of them

Really it was over in 10. Bad luck in 9 (KG), ran out of gas in the stretch (5 minutes of TA might have saved it).

Since then, been running on duct tape and bag balm. Team lacks a go-to guy to drive the engine.  Gotta love PP but he needs to be like Kidd, a 2nd banana.  JG aint got it.  And, moan as you want about Rondo, he aint got it for the simple fact the he cant reliably hit that outside shot.  Which means the Cs have a long road to travel.

This team has no toughness, no effort, no heart, no grit and balls, and etc.
While they weren't the better team in some of the past series, they would at least defy the odds and push teams to the limit and down swinging while doing it. Last years team had players injured left and right and the bench was just a mess yet they displayed more than this.
I would have rather them miss the playoffs than to see this.

It's not a lack of effort.  They're just outclassed.  Throw out the playoff success of SOME of the Celtics and long ineptitude of the Knicks organization, which shouldn't be relevant and this is how the series should be going.  The Celtics were a minus point differential team and didn't play well for a long time coming into the playoffs.  The Knicks were plus 4.3 and came into the playoffs rolling.  This series shouldn't be surprising at all.

You hear Doc talk about how they played leading up to the playoffs didn't matter because....it didn't matter before.  Yep, that's good analysis there.

Jordan Crawford is likable but his offensive game is the epitome of a losing team like the Wizards who just don't care, he was a terrible trade, there was a reason Barbosa didn't get many minutes and even took better shots and with that I give up on this game. I just hate the knicks too much to watch the end.

Dont want to say too much about any one player but Bro Bass has hardly taken advantage of his opportunities from the bench.  Not, I fear, a building block.

I don't think I've ever seen a Celtics team in the KG/Big 3 era just give up before until tonight.
.   Not a team, really.  PP and KG and a bunch of guys they dont know.  Its far form the gang of peers and hungry kids that came together in 08.   Now its 2 aging vets and a bunch of journeymen. What can you do.

Dont want to say too much about any one player but Bro Bass has hardly taken advantage of his opportunities from the bench.  Not, I fear, a building block.
Sorry for the long post
The bold is the first time in a long time where I didn't feel the closeness or bond of this team.
-08 I could see the chemistry and closeness clear as day because they were all equally hungry and starving for a championship
-09 I could see it even with KG down
-10 even with some issues, I still felt they had chemistry
-11 before the trade and the injuries to Shaq and Rondo the chemistry was there and strong. They looked like a family that really spent time with each other outside of basketball.
-12 even last year I could see some chemistry and a bond
-This year I just didn't see any chemistry or a bond or anything. They don't even look like they talk or communicate with each other outside of playing basketball (other than KG and Paul).
It looks like a team of an aging Paul and KG with some players just picked up off the street to play with them.

Good teams actually have backup points and bigs who can rebound.  I wish Ainge can join the revolution sometime soon. Good teams do not use players like Bass.  It's nonsense.
What's with all the animosity towards Bass lol
Nothing, really, other than he aint no Leon Powe.  Even the Pugancious Papoose took better charges.

Bradley just got exposed. He may be a ball hawk, but he sure isnt fast enough.

I like him, but someone form the board was right, we should have traded him when his stock was high.

Bradley got toasted by a fat Raymond Felton. Not to mention his offensive skills are at the level of a 12 year old.

Doc is a good salesman. I bet he can convince ownership to bring the band back.

Healthy Rondo and Sully

Jeff Green will be 100%

Bradley will improve

And I will be sad.

I hate going back to the past, but that team before injuries and the trade looked like they had so much fun together.
They came off like they couldn't wait to be around each other and play with one another.

I prefer bigs who can rebound and whose only skill isn't shooting mid-range jumpers.  He's also dumb as rocks on defense and soft.  He never takes a charge.  He's rippling with more muscles than Pierce ever had but unlike Pierce, he won't stand his ground and take charge.  You have to have that from your role players if they're not basket protectors.   Just the concept of Bass infuriates to no end. A team with ambition shouldn't value bigs who can only shoot 15 foot jumpers and can't do anything else.  It blows my mind.

The Celtics use to have bigs who could defend the post and paint like Perkins or grab rebounds and take charges like Powe.  That was a good formula.  From Rasheed to Davis and now Bass, it's been a sliding scale of worse and worse defense and rebounding.  Seriously, you have a free agent who stands 6'7, can't defend, plays soft, can't pass, has a low basketball IQ and is only good for jumpshots.  How the heck did the Celtics value him at 6 million a year?  On paper it's nonsense and then when you see him play, it's doubly so.

I don't understand why Ainge has a different standard for bigs and wings.  He apparently didn't like Marshon Brooks because he didn't play defense.  Not that Brooks is all that great, I'm not pining for him but how about applying the same standard for bigs?  If they can't defend and are also dumb as rocks on the court, don't get them.  At the very least, don't sign them to a multi-year contract.

What kind of player was JaJuan Johnson?  The same kind as Bass, a big who couldn't defend (more due to strength issues rather than being dumb as rocks like Bass), didn't even rebound well at college and whose offensive game was shooting jumpers.  Good lord!  Ainge's eyes must light up when he sees a big who can hit a jumpshot.  If they can't rebound, he must fall head over heels in love.  Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.!

Like I said earlier; Seems like they ran Clifford Ray out of town because he preached rebounding. Ever since then, there has been a lot of small ball.

There's been alot of small ball because Ainge hasn't been looking to recruit bigs... or the bigs that we currently have are not "big" in a sense. How can you blame Doc for going small when that's all that he has to work with?

amen amen amen! rebuilding should start with him out of this team. it doesn't take a genius to know that small ball only works if you have a player who could dominate like lebron. ugly way to finish the kg-pp era.

Well then what lineup would he be going with? I felt like he did try to go big in Game 2 when he had PP at the 2, Green at the 3, Bass at the 4 and KG at center.

What other lineup would you rather have seen? Or better yet what other lineup would make more sense if you wanted to go "big."

First TP!!! Very civilized question.

I'd go:

Terry
Lee
Pierce
Shav
KG

Bradley- when JR Smith comes in
Green
Bass
Wilcox

I'd keep Shav and KG as a rotation and Bass and Wilcox as a rotation.

The problem Doc deals with is making everyone happy. The guys who you don't have to make happy are:

White
Melo
Shav
T-Will
Wilcox

But Doc feels he must play: (egos)

Terry
Crawford
Lee
Bradley
Green
Pierce
Kg
Bass

So he goes small. :-\

i think they should try and color their hair ala rodman so that the genius coach can see they exists.
