The Blazers continue to try to extract a future first-round pick for J.J. Hickson. CBSSports.com

Would one of our future firsts be too low? I feel like it would be a no brainer if we could somehow get Hickson for a future first.
On the flip side, why is Portland looking to dump a 24 year old Hickson who is averaging 13 and 10 for a future first? Just because the dont think they cant resign him?
Worth it to explore this option or no?

:o.i do that in a second

I like Hickson a lot. At 12/10, given our needs, what's not to like?
I started a thread on him about a week and a half ago, and the reception was pretty luke warm.

Maybe matching salary is whats holding us back from trying to make a deal? I dont see why we wouldnt be all over this.

They know nobody wants to resign in Portland

No one wants to give away a first for a PF playing C on the last year of his contract.

Glad you've changed your mind from last week.
I like hickson but that's too many assets IMO
They think they have a good chance to resign him, so I don't see why they'd trade him.

I like Hickson a lot, but yeah one year left... tough.

Because he's an empty numbers on a bad team guy and we're going to need all of our first round picks very soon.

Doubt they get it although we could surely use his rebounding. He would be our Kenneth Faried.

Because unless you want to shell out 8-10 million per (think Illysova type contract) for him this summer, he is only a half season rental.
I say hell no on both accounts.

Portland probably wants to get a 1st round pick back without taking on any additional salary. So nothing the Celtics can offer is likely to be of value to them.
