Title: Brutal Road Trip Ahead
Post by: FreeGreen on February 19, 2013, 03:20:17 PM
I knew we had a lot of road games coming, I didn't realize they were all in the same week!

Tue: @ Den
Wed: @ LA
Fri: @ Pho
Sun: @ Port
Mon: @ Utah

5 games in 7 days is not ideal when you have 9 healthy bodies and your two best players are 35+.

Wow.  Those are not puddle jumper flights either.  Den to LA is 2 hours.  Pho to Portland is 3 hours.

To top it off, everyone of those teams will be well-rested at home (none of them are on the 2nd night of a back to back.)

All things considered, I'd love to see us come out this 3-2 and keep the momentum rolling.

X factor might be a mental boost after the deadline if no one key is traded

That's actually true.

We win against the Lakers and two more and I'll be a happy man this week. Denver can be a statement game though. We win that, we'll be full of confidence for the next 4. Nuggets are TOUGH to beat at home though.

Let's GO CELTICS!

It's bad when it's not unlikely we lose all of them.

Rose Garden is a tough place to win.
Lakers shouldn't be easy either.

Suns.... we'll prolly blow it. Hopefully not.

The six out of seven TD home court fest is over!  The AS break came at a good time for resting our players, but at a terrible time for breaking momentum. That and starting in mile high against a team eager for revenge is a bad way to start the road trip. Then, I think Kobe goes off for 50, as a personal tribute to Jerry Buss in their 1st game back after his passing. He will not let the Lakers lose to the C's on that nite! Just bad luck in schedule and circumstance for us!
Phoenix is our best hope for a win on this trip, but we don't exactly get up for bad teams. Portland and Utah are both nightmare arenas for visitors, and we could very well be looking at 0-5 trip!
After losing the first two, Danny will have alot to think about Thursday!!!!! And if he stays pat, and then they go 0-5 or 1-4, then there will be alot of outcry that rebuilding should have been started---cause then your stuck with nada!
The next 5 games after that are no picnic either, and they also could go 1-4, with only two at home against decent teams.  If nothing done at the deadline, and we go 2-8 or 1-9 right after things could get pretty ugly!
Of course all of this could change depending on our or our opponents dealings!

umm...sorry
i don't think this is the same team that doesn't show up for lesser-thans and loses games after leading the entire game.

then again....this whole season has been a big weird thing. so we shall see

At least we won one? I see a win tonight only if Jeff Green has a big game. X-Factor.

Celts win. Green a no show. Pierce and Garnett key the win. 2-3 is a passable trip given how poorly they have played on the road this year -- 10-18.

It wasn't a failure at least. Two wins was about what I expected, though it could easily have been one or three.

Yeah went 1-2 in close games, lost one blow out and won one blow out.

Nice end to the trip there. I was very disappointed with the Portland game but they were desperate to find wins and gave LAL a tough go the game before. Denver was a tough one but we did a much better job than the Lakers did last night.

The LA game was a bummer due to being a 2nd straight game after Denver (Thank You Very Much Schedulemaker) and Jerry Buss passed so they had all this emotion bottled up and we were backed up against the trading deadline which is a distraction in itself.

Phx - we took care of business.

I say build off that road win in Utah and March forth to a better Eastern Conference seed.

Portland game was the only one that really got to me.  Thought 3-2 would've been a good trip.  2-3 isn't the end of the world.

The Portland game didn't bother me too much.  It was just one of those games that you give the other team credit for playing really well.  Portland was desperate for a win and I think Doc said himself Portland was playing better recently despite their losing streak.

Portland gave the Lakers a helluva game Friday night. I figured one and four after seeing that. Turns out some money was found in Utah and that was a fantastic game last night. Celtics competed well in Denver, too, at least a lot better than the Lakers.  ;D

Now it is New York and Brooklyns turn to go west in late March.
