Title: NBA PLayers' names as catchy replacement for adjectives/verbs/nouns.
Post by: Yoki_IsTheName on February 13, 2013, 04:39:47 PM
I am an avid listener of The Basketball Jones podcast (i think I already said this before) and while I was tuned in, they had a mail in which the guy asked what names can they think of that can be catchy replacements for common adjectives or verbs or nouns that we use in everyday life.

He had examples like "Yo, can I get a Stockton (assist) on this table" and "You know that your current GF is just a Rodman (rebound) right?"

So, like I always say, for the sake of fun, creativity and discussion, let's hear yours. We might be able to use it with fellow basketball fans in our everyday living and may look cool doing so...  ;D 8)

I have one.

"Make sure you Kwame (scrub) that floor really good."

Fire away. The witty ones will get TP's from me.

There's an obvious Delonte West one there somewhere, but I'll keep the forum PG (pun intended on that, though).

Someone can't tell the difference between adjectives, verbs, and nouns.

Paul Pierce'd in the heart as the crowd pushed...

Larry's Bird flew out of Nicholas' Cage, Joe Tex'd messages from Satchel's Paige...

Jason's Kidd took his first steps in Jimmy's Walker...

In all fairness, I am still a Delonte fan.

My brother does great with decent looking women, but he keeps wasting his time Josh Smithing around with the 10s instead.

I picked this Tall & Talented women who I thought had promise to eventually 1 day be able to spend the rest of her life with me, but the relationship flamed out fast as she turned out to be a real "Olawakandi". Should stayed with the girl who I knew was the stone cold "Pierce"!
