Hedo Turkoglu has been suspended without pay for 20 games for violating NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program by testing positive for methenolone.

Because among other things, it helps them heal and makes them more likely to make it through the nagging injuries that they collect over the course of an 82+ game season.

I don't agree with it and the risks ultimately outweigh the rewards, but it's not like these guys are taking this stuff for no reason.
