Paul and KG have to be gassed, and we play another game tomorrow against a pretty crummy team in the Bobcats.
I think it makes a lot of sense to start Green and possibly Collins tomorrow to have KG and Pierce play limited (<20) minutes off the bench. A nice side effect would be to see what Green can do as a starter.
Thoughts?

If you're going to give them a break then give them a break. Don't play them at all.
-
I'd just give Pierce and KG the night off.
-
This is where we need a third string wing and a center.

If Pierce and KG don't play, at least Charlotte is a good match up size-wise. They often play three small guards, Ben Gordon, Sessions and Walker together. They don't really have a legitimate-sized small forward on their roster besides Kidd-Gilchrist.
-
Nope! you guys are quick to forget that the Celtics are still close to being out the playoffs.

Second string center: Wilcox!
Third string center: Collins!
Second string wing: Green/Barbosa/Terry
Third string wing: [looks like Barbosa will be playing a lot tomorrow]

doc has won 7 in a row with this lineup. he won't tinker with it now. they can get their blows by coming out earlier.

This. There is absolutely no need for them to play tomorrow night.
Take a page from San Antonio's book.
-
I'd be extremely surprised if either KG or Pierce are given the night off. Doc just doesn't do that. At least not until April.
Whether they should get the night off is another matter. I'd be inclined to give KG the night off completely, and have Pierce on a strict minutes restriction.
Hopefully they can run the Bobcats out of their own building, which is always the best way to limit the minutes for your starters.

Barbosa is too small for a 3. I'd rather have Lee play that position.

There seems to be two options: 1) sit PP and KG, or 2) play PP and KG. I don't see why you would change your starting line-up if they are going to play. Keep things the same and play them less. What does starting a different set of guys solve if you are playing them anyway?
Actually, tomorrows game is one that is historically frightening for the PP/KG era. We have played down to our competition consistently in this time period. I could see tomorrow's game being very close, which may force those guys to play big minutes in the fourth quarter to try and get the win.

It's a shame our 3rd best player plays the same position as our 2nd best player. But that's been an issue all year... as of right now we are making it work. Jeff Green is clearly better than Brandon Bass, but Jeff Green isn't a PF.
-
If they didn't have the ASB coming up, I'd definitely want them to sit. But Pierce will be off for nearly a week after Wednesday and KG I'm sure won't at too long next Sunday, so they will get their breather.
I'm fine with them playing (as long as it doesn't turn into another OT game). I'd suspect both Pierce and KG will be around 20 minutes entering the 4Q, and neither will finish above 28.
54 and 47 is a lot of minutes, for anyone.
But I know KG won't allow Doc to sit him a game.

Well this is why I have been saying ALL year... move pIerce to the 2 and start green at the 3. having bradley pierce and green at the guard spots would be DOMINANT.
And with all the lineups played this year and green has not started yet... RIDICULOUS. Love seeing green in at the end of games though.
-
I'd rather see him decimating the second unit of the other team.
-
Here's an idea. Start KG and PP and bust out the Bobcats in the first quarter. Have the second unit push the lead to 20+ points, and coast the rest of the way, with KG and PP playing limited minutes.

I think Jeff finally has got his mojo back , trusts his body , and is comfortable in his role as a Celtic.
Took him forever to get moved in, but Jeff Green seems to finally found a home.
