I just looked up Humphries stats, I had no idea he was struggling so bad this year.

Not sure why the Nets want to trade Humphries (salary dump?), but to contend, they'll need him a lot more than they'll need a gunner, especially since they already have one in Joe Johnson.

Bit of a head scratcher, this one.

Good trade for both teams Brooklyn.

Brooklyn gets a talent upgrade and a player who will make their small ball lineups far more effective and Charlotte cuts .. wait, Humphries got a two year deal. He is not an expiring contract. I thought it was a salary dump. Charlotte were cutting a year of B.Gordon's salary by taking Humphries for him.

Oh, okay. Very good trade for Brooklyn and terrible trade for Charlotte.

Doesn't Charlotte have a bunch of big men, including Tyrus Thomas and Biyombo, who are underperforming PFs already? Why do they want to import another one?

I don't know what you've seen to date that would make you think the Bobcats are run competently.

Because he's paid $12 million per season and is currently relegated to being a 2 mpg player off the bench?

Why would Charlotte do that?

The Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Bobcats are discussing a trade that would swap Kris Humphries and Ben Gordon, according to league sources.

Trade talks are ongoing but nothing is imminent.

Both Gordon and Humphries make $12 million this season.

The Nets are searching for a shooter to space the floor and believe Gordon -- who's averaging 13.1 points on 41.7 percent three-point shooting this season -- would fill a void.

Interesting that a team that starts JJ and Deron at guard need floor spacers.

In related news, the shine is officially off Marshon Brooks.  Still better than JJJ though.

This could work out pretty well for Brooklyn, but the biggest flaw for them is that they'll definitely have to rely on Lopez to rebound consistently.

Seems like bass would be a cheaper addition for bobcats and terry a cheaper option for the nets. No sure what either would offer the cs  but seems like a stone Danny should turn over.

We don't have to be part of every deal :P

Nets are desperate to find ways to make Deron happy.  Since he's forgotten how to shoot, I guess the next best thing is to get him as many easy assists as possible.

Says a lot about how much those guys have declined.

It's so bad with both of them that it's almost like they were taking PEDs or something and then stopped.

Include Rondo and another expiring contract to us and we're good as long as we get picks.

How exactly are we going to get Ed Davis (who is better than Bass) AND Ramon Sessions for only Bass?
