The goal is to get as much talent as possible for KG and Pierce and to benefit all 3 teams. Pierce and KG both goto Cali where they want to be if traded.
Trade KG to LAC for bledsoe and Jordan
Then trade pierce, terry, collins to GSW for Barnes, Thompson, Biedrins, jefferson
Gives us a lot of young talent and future trade chips
LAC gets Garnett who they're hot after and GSW gets better for a title run

Bledsoe/barbosa ( rondo)
Bradley/lee
Thompson/Barnes/jefferson
Bass/green/Biedrins (sullinger)
Jordan/Wilcox/melo
Clips
Cp3
Billups/Crawford
Butler
Griffin
Garnett
GSW
Curry
Terry
Pierce
Lee
Bogut

I still say if the Clips are getting KG, then they have to give us Odom's expiring as well so we can unload some salary (Bass and Terry).
-
The Dubs are never going to do this.
What they get from Klay is way more than what they will get from Jet. And they are very high on Barnes as well.
I doubt that the Clips would give away DeAndre and Bledsoe for KG as well.
-
Haha we get Barnes and Thompson for two guys who will probably retire in the next year or two at most.
-
That's a heck of a haul you finagled for us right there.

I mean, when you're championship contenders OF COURSE you should trade away your pieces in order to get better later!

Who are you referring to? The Clips get better now and the Warriors get worse now and in the future. The only team that matches your description of getting better later is the Celtics, and I'm sorry, but we aren't championship contenders.

I had a similar idea:
Garnett to LAC for Odom and Bledsoe
Pierce and Barbosa to GSW for Barnes-Thompson-Jefferson
The LAC seems reasonable to me -- they were willing to part with Butler instead of Odom, but it's not a big stretch to go from one to the other.
The problem is with GSW -- if they get Pierce, it's very difficult to work out any salary that matches. Jefferson makes sense salary-wise, and Barnes makes sense talent wise, but that deal doesn't work with contracts. So that necessitate Thompson coming over, but now that makes no sense if Golden State is trying to win, so they get Barbosa.
The issue is I'm not certain it makes Golden State any better than when they started. It does clear them of Jefferson's terrible contract, and if they choose not to keep Pierce, or if Pierce retires opts out (see discussion on the front page as to whether or not he can opt out) they clear a lot from their books next year, which has some value. I'm not sure it has enough value to warrant trading Barnes and Thompson for half-year rentals, however. Which would mean they'd keep Pierce, and save a little under a million, and then be without Barnes and Thompson. The moral of the story is that it's tough to make a deal with Golden State which makes sense for both teams and works with the salaries.
However, in my above hypothetical situation, I also propose trading Terry and Bass to Milwaukee for Beno Udrih in a pure salary dump. Doing all this and waiving Jefferson with the stretch provision (assuming I figured out how that worked correctly) next offseason could leave us with a nice young core and enough cap room to go after free agents with more than the MLE.

Take out Thompson and its a great deal for everyone
Garnett and melo to LAC for Bledsoe and Jordan
Pierce and Terry to GSW for Barnes Jefferson (filler) Biedrins(filler)

Why are you giving them Melo when reports are that the Clippers would do Jordan and Bledsoe for KG tomorrow?
Also, that's a lot of salary to take on that's committed next year. I'd rather just keep Pierce and KG if we're going to have the same salary obligations.

Can keep melo but it wouldn't be a deal breaker

Setting aside Melo, the primary issue of this deal is the salary implications for this year and next year. Going through with this trade would not get us under this year's luxury tax, and keep us above next year's tax also, unless there's a dramatic increase in the tax threshold. In neither of these years would we be contending.
The way the luxury tax is currently set up (increasing penalties for multiple years as taxpayers), it's a really poor decision to pay the luxury tax in seasons when you aren't fielding a competitor, because you will feel the full penalty of the tax in seasons when you are trying to be competitive. While the pockets of the Celtics owners have not proven to be shallow, they are also not infinite, and testing those limits in years of mediocrity would be poor planning by Ainge.
