Title: Trade idea (Bos/Sac/NY/SA) Yes. I am bored at the moment

For Boston:  They jump start the next rebuild

Rondo
AB/Evans
Green
Splitter/Sully
Cousins/Melo

For NY:  They greatly improve their chance to beat the Heat with a front court of Melo, KG and Chandler.  The team defense improves.  This would be a good fit for KG.

For SA:  They add another threat in Pierce (either starting or off the bench)  Pierce plays the same team game the Spurs do.

For the Kings:  They add a star (when healthy) that can sell tickets when they move to Seattle.  I don't think the players they have now will do that.

Plus for Boston, the team save money this year getting under the tax level.

Really not a bad return getting three youngsters (althought I hate Evans) and an expiring to start the rebuild. Depends on how much Splitter asks for in the offseason.

I think this deal probably overvalues Amare a bit.  Rumor has it that he was offered around the league this past off-season basically for free, and NY had no takers.

Now, he was injured then, and he's healthy and is scoring / shooting well now, so I'm sure he's got more value now.  However, I don't think he's got enough value to land Cousins and Tyreke.

This is some artful work. You've been at it a while

I'm terrified of the combined impact of losing two leaders and gaining two dudes with the stink of Sacramento stuck to them.

I love, by the way, that you managed to make the Knicks even older!

Yet less likely to have a big man go out with an injury.   :)

The deal is good for everyone except its horrible for Sacramento.

I get the feeling the Cousins is never going to reach his potential with that organization.  Eventually, they will dump him.

And I don't think they are looking to resign Evens this offseason.

Amare would give them someone that can sell tickets.  His addition to NY help turn that franchise around.
