save Sully, AB, and Melo, and let the bidding begin!!
It couldn't hurt, and you know how auctions go--bidders get carried away and lose track of true value often times--and you could end up with a great deal or two, to jumpstart the rebuilding process. DA hasn't had many good draft picks to work with in awhile. Sprinkle in some higher potential young talent, pluck a couple of our better D-leaguers and you would at least have some hope for the future!
Better than watching the train wreck we have now!

so teams will short-change us? thats not exactly a good negotiating tool.

Beat me to it. TP

The value of our current players is such that GM's are no doubt already trying to short change us in deals. Probably why DA has not acted. Hence trying to get 2 or 3 GM's to bid against each other, for say a JT, or PP, that they think could get them to the promised land. In this auction, of sorts, however, DA doesn't HAVE TO say YES if the price isn't to his liking.
Or we could just continue in the wonderful direction we're going now, if that's more to your liking. Me, I've seen enough. We have no position of strength to bargain from, and if we did we probably wouldn't be having this discussion!

I would agree with this tactic as a means for motivation. That's it. DA won't just make a deal, which means we won't see a trade until were at the deadline.

id rather roll the dice in the playoffs with this team. You never know when you have an x-factor like rondo.
