Title: Who wants what the Celtics have to offer?
Post by: CFAN38 on January 21, 2013, 04:11:30 PM
Leaving out what I view as the old and new core KG, PP, RR, AB, and Sully. What teams would be a possible trading partners for each of the following.

This is my guess as to what teams could use the following.

Terry, ATL,Pacers,Bucks,Nuggets,Rockets,Lakers,OKC

Lee, Pacers,Bucks,Suns,Nuggets,Lakers,

Bass, Rockets,Suns, Nuggets

Green, -- contract to big --

Barbosa, ATL,Bucks,Nuggets,Rockets,Lakers,OKC

The teams I listed are all playoff teams who I think would take on the above listed players contracts to help their chances this year.

Good post.

Terry and Bass should really be the guys we try to ship out first. If Green literally has no value, then hold on to him for a bit longer and see if he can excel. We are one Pierce injury away from Green becoming the primary scorer on offense for this team. If and when he is given this chance, we can finally see how he can perform.

I try to avoid trading Sully, AB, and Melo. I don't want a Joe Johnson / Chauncey situation to happen again [I realize Kenny Anderson was exactly what we needed at the time, but no one will doubt that Chauncey had the better career]. Unless we are trading for an absolute stud, there is no reason to dump our plus assets for a small chance at a championship.

I think we trade Jeff Green and courtney lee along with terry and a salary filler and see if we can get in a 3 team trade. I tried one myself http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a2hechb ...Boston, Denver, and Memphis as trade partners. we get rudy gay and timofey mozgov. Denver gets Jeff green and and chris wilcox, memphis get wilson chandler, courtney lee, jason terry and jason collins.

Timberwolves would probably want Lee as well.

Every player on this team should be available for the right trade IMO.

would you trade PP and Rondo for Gay and Conley?

What's tempting about two downgrades?

Here's a 4 way deal I came up with -

Boston Receives: Jose Calderon, Chuck Hayes, Demarcus Cousins
Boston Trades: Rajon Rondo, Courtney Lee, Jason Terry

Sac/Sea Receives: Rajon Rondo, Josh Smith
Sac/Sea Sends: Tyreke Evans, Demarcus Cousins, Jason Thompson, Chuck Hayes

Atlanta Receives: Tyreke Evans, Jason Thompson
Atlanta Sends: Josh Smith

Toronto Receives: Courtney Lee, Jason Terry
Toronto Sends: Jose Calderon
