Title: Numbers that I'm keeping an eye on
Post by: Celtics18 on January 10, 2013, 10:26:13 AM
Total career points:

Paul Pierce: 23,275

Ray Allen: 23,301

I can't wait to see our captain pass Ray in total career points.

Seems like just yesterday Pierce got 20,000

My exact thoughts when I read the post. Almost time to pass Ray Ray.

Man 23,000 points. What a crazy accomplishment when you stop and think about it.

And as a side note. If Paul averages 20 points a game for the remainder of the season, he should end the year in the top twenty scorers of all time.

Somewhat related, but did you check out the stat line from Ray's latest game? 0-5, 0 points. First scoreless game since 1997 and the 2nd of his career.

At least the weather's good down there.

figure 3 more games for PP to pass him.  2 if PP's really hot in both.

by the way, there used to be a thread for all the C's milestones as they passed them or were nearing them.  Anyone know what happened to that?
