Title: Could Derrick Favors be a good fit for the C's?
Post by: radiohead on December 25, 2012, 01:30:57 PM
It was suggested in another thread that we make a move for Paul Millsap. But with the trade chips that we have, wouldn't it be more realistic for us to target Favors instead? Utah's front court is loaded at the moment and while Millsap's impending free agency might force the Jazz to trade him, is there a possibility that they decide to resign Millsap and deal Favors (or Kanter) instead?

They aren't trading Favors. It's pretty much it for this thread.

His plantar fasciitis concerns me. Thats an injury that never ever fully goes away and has ended numerous careers early. Ask Bill Walton or Nene.

Utah would only trade Favors to Boston if Rajon Rondo was heading the other way.

Derrick Favors would be a great fit for the Celtics. I think playing next to KG with Rondo as his point he would score and rebound more.

I think the more likely scenario is around the trade deadline Jefferson and Milsap being traded to Utah for high ceiling players. Imagine the kind of prospects they could get for those two. They would be a very good team in a few years with all the young players they have.
