The Beatles, forever.

TP for starting the thread with a White Stripes tune. Thats probably my favorite under 2 minutes.
A lot of stuff on Eddie Vedder's "Into the Wild" soundtrack is under 2 minutes. There is some great tunes on that soundtrack.

It might not be the best, but definitely a favorite of mine.

Always loved this song (which was part of one of my favorite sampler CDs ever, consisting of only 30 second or less songs).

Its 2:30, doesn't count, but it was our wedding song, and its wicked short. I recommend everyone have it as their wedding song.

The Beatles "Yesterday" is technically 2 minutes long (2:03 to be exact, I think... but it basically ends at 2) ... And since it's considered the 13th greatest song of all time by "Rolling Stone" magazine, it probably should be on the list:

Going through Rolling Stone's top 100... I'm determined to find a winner. "Yesterday" was technically 2:03 ...
... Here I go:
Heartbreak Hotel was 2:08: http://youtu.be/PotB76gi2_4 ...
Long Tall Sally was 2:10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsJVT8Jr_pM
Papa's Got a Brand New Bag was 2:07: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ogGAiyjMNY
"Norweigian Wood" was 2:05: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxxGVjLNpek
"Blitzkrieg Bop" is 2:12: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElX7x_qNUYQ
"Good Golly Miss Molly is 2:04: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5VkTcmQxD8
WINNER: Eddie Cochran - Summertime Blues 1:53: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeWC59FJqGc
#74 Greatest song of all time... #1 song under 2 minutes.
... It also looks like the studio version of "Great Balls of Fire" was under 2 minutes, but that was #96 on Rolling Stone's list... so perhaps it's runner up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrgY01VEwgM

FYI, I asked my friend what he thought the best was... and he went with this 35 second song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGzgwbnB7eM
My personal favorite is 30 seconds long... It's my ringtone and I use it as an intro to any silly youtube video I make: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGslXxLBl7s
I asked my dad and he says "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"...
And then he said, "Janis - Mercedes Bens" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-GFqhCq2HA ... Not bad
-
i`ll stick to modern releases cause there are too many "less then 2mins" songs in the 50s-60s
My fav if supermarketsong by dEUS

"Happy Birthday to You"
Right up there with my dad's suggestion of "Twinkle Twinkle LIttle Star"... but hard to argue with this classic. People sing it daily.

Beatles do it again.

"Happy Birthday to You"
;) TP. I was going to say this, Nick! Everyone knows the words. Everyone would be disappointed if it wasn't sung to them once a year. It always signifies a special day.
