Well if Paul George wants a giant sign saying "make this your team" I guess this will do.

Great opportunity for Paul George, David West and Roy Hibbert to show they are worthy of larger roles offensively. I think this will be good for the Pacers in the long term.

Oh, Gerald Green too, who could get 30+ minutes a night with Granger out the way and post 15-17ppg.

Ugh...that's a stomach punch to my team in the staff fantasy league.

Rough break for Indy if Granger misses significant time. He is no longer the number one option in Indy with his play the past couple years but man can he still be a great 2nd/3rd option behind West and or Paul George.

I still think this is good news for Indiana.

There has been too much responsibility on Danny Granger's shoulders. That vacuum created by Danny Granger's absence will force others (West, Hibbert, Granger) to take more responsibility on and rise to tasks required of them ... giving Indiana a more balanced squad once Granger returns in a few months time.

Great for Gerald Green too. Excellent opportunity for him to play 30-35mpg and put up 15-18ppg. To prove to everyone that he is ready to play be a starting SG and capable of being a key cog (as a role player or even low level star) on a title contender.

If Gerald Green does come through this with flying colours, it could also give Indiana a reason to part with Danny Granger. To trade Granger for an upgrade at PG (Steph Curry, Kyle Lowry, maybe Jrue Holiday) or to couple him with another big name (say Hibbert) for an upgrade at a position that is already in good standing.

Interesting times for Indiana. This injury is a really good opportunity for them.
