This is the question that needs to be answered. A lot has been spoken about JGreen's contract. To me it all basically comes down to this simple statement:
If you are playing JGreen at the 3, then the price is right - but if you are playing the bulk of his minutes at the 4, then he might be over payed.
So, obviously as long as PP is walking, JG will play at the 4....which is kind of a waste of good talent, but it is what it is.
My take is; Unless JGreen drastically improves his rebounding, I am not sure Doc is sold on closing with JGreen at the 4.
What is your take?
PS. My 2nd take on this whole thing? - JGreen is here for the Miami series. He is one of the very few in the league with the size, speed and skills to keep LeBron occupied on both ends of the floor. Cs now have two (PP and JGreen).

I know its a cop-out answer, but it is the truth. It depends on matchups (and who is healthy).
If everyone is healthy, and they are facing the Heat, who will likely have Lebron playing PF down the stretch, then I definitely think Green will be in the closing lineup. If they are facing the Lakers, who are closing with Howard and Gasol, Green will not be out there.

Jeff Green is a very effective part-time power forward.
One should be pleased that Jeff Green will be getting some of his minutes there in addition to minutes he'll receive at the small forward position.

No it's not. It's a question that will answer itself.

I agree. And Jeff Green playing 4 against Lebron, or Durant should both teams make it that far, means he won't be playing out of position, and thus overpaid as a mediocre 4. Those will obviously be difficult matchups for him (or any player ever), but it's better to have Green in that slot than a traditional PF.
Of course, as more teams copy the Lebron and Durant model and have larger wing players move to the 4, and essentially play with three wings, Green will probably see more time at the 4 too. But then he won't be out of position, he'll just be playing a newly defined position.

I could see Green finishing against the Lakers, but only with him playing the 3 and Pierce playing the 2. It would help us match up with their big lineup. He's too fast for Peace and too big for Kobe
Rondo
Pierce
Green
Garnett
Darko

It depends on who is playing better in many cases.
AB/Lee/Green/Bass.

Doc loves small ball, so of course he'll be at the 4
Just picture it like James Posey in the 2008 Playoffs/Finals. There's your answer

I think this is going to be the case. My guess is that more often than not, the lineup that finishes close games will be Rondo/Terry (maybe Bradley)/Pierce/Green/Garnett.
Doc is going to want to have his five best players on the floor. Those are them, in my opinion.

Yes, except our shooting guard shrunk and learned how to dribble.
