I got to watch since he was playing against the Bears.

He looked pretty good out there for a guy that hasn't seen game action in over a year.  I thought he threw the ball well and the interception was on a deflection where you could argue that he threw behind the receiver.

If you were a Broncos fan, you'd have to be very encouraged especially after what they've had to deal with in the passing game the past few years.

With this abortion of a R-- --x season  >:(, a lot of us are ready for some football.

Honestly, I don't know how my mobile device is making it through watching the aggravating R-- --x.

Looks like Kolb just earned a starting job under center, (good luck with that, though, behind that horrendous offensive line).

Coming into the season, I was 100% sure that the Packers were being incredibly overrated by the media.

Today, the 49ers reinforced my confidence in the Packers' limitations. Yeah I know they got a great defense, but last year's game against the Giants was not a fluke. Rodgers has flaws just like Brady or Brees do, much to the dismay of ESPN or SI.

Yeah he really came around, the post was from the first quarter when I think he was 0-2 with a pick-6.

Man of I were Matt Forte I'd be furious. He should've had 3 scores today, and for Bush's first vulture, Forte basically did all the work just so Bush could eat the dinner. I know I'm annoyed (and a little mad at myself for not starting both bears RBs against the weak sauce colts).

Also what happened with Cam Newton? Or, what happened with Tampa Bay? I didn't get a chance to see the game, but the Panthers couldn't run to save their lives, and while Newton was efficient enough throwing the ball, he did throw 2 picks that likely cost them the game. Was Tampa's defense better than advertised, or was Newton just failing to make plays?

I went in with two vikes this year for fantasy, and right now it looks to be paying off. Kyle Rudolph and Percy Harvin look like they'll be options 1 and 1a in the offense for the pass, and they're two of the guys Ponder seems to have chemistry with. Good stuff.

Ugh, I drafted AP and sat him because I believed what Frazier said(dumb I know). If I had kept him in, I wouldn't be praying for Rivers and Bey to give me 35 pts tonight. The guy I'm playing has Gates to make things even more difficult.

Peterson was announced as the starter before the game began.  They don't start players they don't plan on giving 15-20 carries to.  Peterson got 17 and the game went into OT.  About what you would expect from your starter.

Maybe you're a football HC whisperer, but I was listening to Brad Evans from Yahoo before the games, and he was saying even with Peterson being the starter, he thought 12-15 carries and light duty.

“Heard some talk out of the Bears: Packers secondary not working coverage, bigger receivers … we heard about it,” Woodson told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”

I have no idea what Chicago was trying to do in that first half. I wonder if they knew they still had Forte on the team(before he went out of the game, or what a screen pass is.

Both teams looked like garbage last night. GB's defense isn't as good as it looked last night.

This is really ruining the season for the NFL at this point.  It's altering the outcome of games.  Commentators are openly looking for ways to criticize the actions and decisions referees make on the field (not that it really matters... just saying).

This has to end.

Nice Win, Washington!!

And way for Billy Cundiff to convert that game-winning FG, after missing 3 that game. Goes to show you that oftentimes it's not how you start - but how you finish!

And Robert Griffin the III....after 4 games, a brutal (IMO) schedule with 3 games on the road vs good teams, and one game at home vs a good Cincinnati team - Washington is 2-2.

I haven't felt THIS good about a 2-2 Washington team in a few years.

With Griffin III, we have an opportunity to win EVERY game.

And how about Alfred Morris? Not too shabby so far for a 6th rounder.

I love this team.

Sanchez is completing less than 50% with 5 TDs and 4 ints. His rating is 69.2 And he has rushed 1 time for 4 yards. And now he loses Santonio Holmes. It's pretty clear where this is going.

1. Robert Griffin III - this man gives WAS a chance every game.

Did anyone see him today vs Minny??

2. Ray Lewis - he laid a lick on some DAL running back today. Stopped him cold. Still putting out pain in his late 30's.

3. Last (but certainly not least) - Vice President Joe Biden. Any man that uses "Malarkey" during a VP debate in front of the free world should probably get the number 1 vote, here.

As a Ravens totally stoked for the victory, but losing 2 (Webb and Lewis) or 3 (mabye Ngata) more defensive players from a unit that has given up over 200+ rushing yards in consecutive games does not bode well going forward.

Big game next week at Houston for the AFC lead.

Rules question:  Tampa Bay just would have tied if not for penalty on the receiver for going out of bounds and then back in bounds for the catch.  But the receiver was pushed out of bounds and then re-established himself in-bounds before catching the ball.  I would think he would be eligible.  What's the rule -- I can't imagine it's legal for a defensive player to push a player (beyond 5 yards, BTW) out of bounds and make that player ineligible.

I'm a Bucs fan, I'm still ticked but...

they said because freeman (QB) was out of the pocket the guy could push our receiver (if ball isnt in the air). then our receiver could re-establish but not be first to touch it.

He wasn't the first to touch it because free hadn't thrown it yet, so wasn't he touching it?

I don't know whats with all these stupid rules... doesn't make sense!

I guess we need to teach people to knock players out of bounds as soon as we get their QB to scramble out the pocket. then no receiver would be eligible...

Very tough to come up with a top 5 in the NFL as we near the last quarter of the season.

Things have certainly become murkier in the past few weeks as every contender is illustrating faults.

NFC is especially up for grabs right now.  I think the AFC is a little more top heavy while the NFC is certainly the deeper conference.

HOW 'BOUT THEM 'SKINS...LOL!!

I haven't been THIS enthused about The Washington Redskins in quite a few years...we haven't been in a playoff hunt THIS late in the season very often here recently.

Robert Griffin The Third...I've said it before and I'll say it again - the man gives us a chance to win just about every game.

London Fletcher with an interception...Ryan Kerrigan with a sack..Alfred Morris with over 100 yds rushing...Santana Moss, Aldrick Robinson, Pierre Garcon, Niles Paul all with TDs.

Just a great TEAM win vs a dangerous opponent in DAL...Dez Bryant, Jason Whitten and Tony Romo are a DANGEROUS threesome.

Let the rivalry begin again!

Now off to WAS to face NY Giants...get em', WAS!!

Once again, the New York Football Giants show the rest of the league their best is better than anyone else's.

San Francisco and Green Bay are teams to he reckoned with, and yet the Giants spanked them both.

Now, if only they would play up to their potential on a more consistent basis.

And they GOT EM!!, LOL!!

Merry GRIFFMas!!

Great Game!

Thank you, Washington Defense!!

Man, that game just made me so utterly sick.  Giants absolutely killed themselves with stupid penalty, after stupid penalty.

Credit to to Washington defense though.  They did what they needed to, to win the game.

RG3 didn't really do anything special, but just watch, media will hype him up as some hero.

The Giants sure can be their own worst enemy sometimes.  UGH!

RGIII and Luck are going to own this league for a long, long time -- barring career altering injuries.

Pretty amazing what both have done to elevate their respective franchises in their first season in the league.  Both teams were atrocious just a season ago.

Awesome slate of NFL games today.

Ones most intriguing to me;

Packers/Bears

Giants/Falcons

Broncos/Ravens

Colts/Texans

Niners/Patriots

And I absolutely LOVE IT!

Kirk Cousins is looking like the Real Deal. WAS playing well right now.

NY getting their behinds handed to them...all I need is a DAL loss and it would be an almost perfect sports weekend, save for BOS's struggles.

Aye!  G-men look fantastic one week, horrible the next.

Such and up and down team, it's maddening.  Can't remember the last time they were shutout.

Playoffs are looking dicey for them now, which is a crying shame.  Completely underachieving this season.

Yeah, NFC playoffs can go a number of different ways.  Sea and NYG can win out and secure the wild-card spots, but who knows with those two teams (particularly the Giants).

Washington and Dallas now control the NFC East.  If either win out, they win the division.

SF has control of their divison, but could slip up and open the door for Sea.

Ravens losing pretty much leaves the second bye in the AFC as a two dog fight between Denver & the Pats.

Looking more & more like we'll see another Brady/Manning playoff matchup at some point.

Can't believe the season has come to this.  Pathetic ending to a season that should have been much better.

Lot of channel surfing going on right now. Back & forth btw the Texans/Colts & Bears/Lions.

Would love to see Pagano's boys pull off the W and make this Pats game more meaningful with a bye at stake.

Another Tuck Rule called in the Colts game.  Colts just got a huge break.

I really hate that rule.  Its an obvious fumble.  (Despite that fact that Pats benefited from it in the past)

This Giants game is brutal.  Completely smoking the Eagles.

Every bit of my frustration with them this year is coming to the front today.  If only they could have found some consistency.  Too many time they have played like a juggernaught, only to lose focus.

One of the most talented teams I have seen in some time that won't make the playoffs.

As a Patriot fan I'm happy, only because deep down I felt if the Giants somehow made it they were going to make a run for it again.

I agree though, the complacency the Giants have is mind boggling to me

Things are breaking nicely for the Pats.  The Texans have fallen off a cliff since the Pats destroyed them.  The Giants aren't lurking in the NFC as a Super bowl foil.

Now the Pats need Romeo Crennel to lead his rag tag Chiefs to an upset over Peyton Manning in Denver.  While he's at it, maybe he can devise a blitz that can knock Manning out for the playoffs.

I garuantee the NFC teams who are in the playoffs breathed one HUGE sigh of relief with the Giants being eliminated.

Such a [dang] disappointing season.  I hope Caughlin retires.  He didn't seem to be able to reach the players this year.  They need a change.

Completely agree with you. As long as the pass rush is in top form they will always be difficult to beat come postseason. Maybe next year.

My prediction for the Conf Championship games is New England @ Denver in the AFC. Green Bay will be @ Atlanta in the NFC.

Super Bowl will be Denver vs Green Bay.

Seattle could be the spoiler.  I expect they will end up as the 1st wild card.  If they have to go to Washington, I think they lose.  If Dallas wins tonight, Seattle would probably beat Dallas.  If Seattle could get one win, they could cause problems.

Most interesting thing left today (other than the Washington-Dallas) is Adrian Peterson's quest for the rushing record.  I think he's about 50 yards away with 10 minutes to go.  Minn about to score.  Close game probably hurting his chances a little.  Will be close.  Wish they'd show this game when the Pats game is over.

Excellent -- Fox showing GB-Vikings.  Peterson 45 yards away, but GB taking up tons of time on this drive.  5 minutes to go -- 1st down.

The Peterson thing is exciting (at least to me).  I think it's great that if he makes it, it will be a completely legit feat as they will not be handing off to him just to get him the record -- the win is way more important.

Sadly, the New York Jets are becoming more of a sideshow than an actual football team, unfortunately.

You have Bart Scott's "15 Secs of Fame" for his "Can't Wait!" interview with Sal Palantonio, and since then, they've been on a decline seemingly.
