Bad play by Melo he should known better.

Yeah, he's going way out of the bag of tricks. He should just stay cool and focus being tough and playing defense. Like the effort though.

True enough Knight is alot quicker than Moore. But Moore also has to realize that he cant play Knight like he does right now. Needs to give him some space.

First off I doubt they are reading this but i would like to apologize to the 2k team that made the wonderful game called nba 2k12.

I have been getting on them for making the announcers say the SAME EXACT THING GAME AFTER GAME AFTER GAME... but now i know that the annoucers do that in real life lol. These announcers say the same exact crap every summer league game! How many times do i have to hear "Moore wears number 55 because thats what number he was drafted" , or "Autin dayne has to prove himself here in the summer leauge" lol

Is it me or these SL Celtics' guards does not want to dump the ball down low?

I've seen Melo and Sully get good position down low and never get the ball.

I mean it's basic, your big man seals position, give him the ball, don't care how good he is. The guards are just trying to shoot.

No PGs and they are all trying to play their way on the team.

Funny too because Sully is a better passer than any of them from what I saw.

Here's a quote from Lue in Monday's Herald, and I will submit to you that Moore has not been as successful this week as people have been crediting him:

“Doc knows he can makes shots and score the ball,” Lue said. “But right now there’s the opportunity for him to play some backup point. This is a great opportunity to show that he can play backup point. We know he can make shots and score the ball.”

Just from the box score, the good news is

- 3J leading in points (and minutes) and tied for boards on 4-7 shooting, with his man held to a modest 2-5;

- Melo with 3 boards and 2 blocks in 11 minutes, with at -4 the only single digit "-" of the last two years' rookies;

- Christmas still plugging along, with 2-3 shooting, 4 boards, 2 assts and a steal; and,

- EM actually giving as many shot opportunities to 3J as to himself, at 8 apiece.

Does everyone remember the C's last summer league roster?

Jaycee Carroll G, 6-2, 180, Utah State
Semih Erden C, 7-0, 240, Turkey
Tony Gaffney F, 6-2, 215, UMass
Rodney Green G, 6-8, 190, La Salle
Luke Harangody F, 6-8, 255, Notre Dame
Matt Janning G, 6-4, 198, Northeastern
Vyacheslav Kravstov C, 7-0, 270, Ukraine
Oliver Lafayette G, 6-2, 190, Houston
Art Parkahouski C, 6-11, 260, Radford
DeShawn Sims F, 6-8, 225, Michigan
Ryan THompson G, 6-6, 220, Rider
Ryan Whitman F, 6-7, 215, Cornell

Kravstov was that raw athletic center and he's signed a multiyear deal now with the Pistons.

Daye should have taken that FT line pull up jumper against Sullinger.

He can get that shot whenever he wants it.

Nice job by Sullinger to snare away that rebound from Detroit's guard.

Knight showing Moore how a real point guard plays, not a phony wannabe. Moore has 1 assist, has a +/- of -16, and volume shoots like he's Kobe. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee get this scrub off our team.

Give credit to Joseph and Sully really got it going in the 2nd half.
Jamar Smith actually played really good today as a PG.
JaJuan did a great job as well (Offensively).
Moore disapointed me, he kept shooting it whenever he touched it and couldnt keep Knight in front of him.
Well a loss is a loss lets get the next one!

Brandon Knight abused our guards.

Sully looked worn out as did JJJ, Xmas and most of the rest of the team . They were dragging.  No excuse ..but just looked like they weren't awake.

Pistons were HOT early and jumped on the dragging C's.

Joseph seemed to be unfazed by his forth day of hoops.

If Joseph had  BALL HOGGED like Brandon Knight , the game would have been alot closer.

Joseph got his playing good team ball.

I think you should give knight more credit. He created a lot of offense for his teammates. You don't see many 10-assist games in summer league.

Just watched the replay in NBATV. Kris Joseph looks like the real deal as does Jared Sullinger.  Fab Melo looked lost out there especially on defense.  He had a bad lapse tha led to an easy Maklin stuff in the 3rd quarter.  Moore is fighting for a job.  He is a smart player and has th nice stroke, but I worry that he will always have a disadvantage on defense as 2 guard, due to his smaller size.  Sullinger looks like he's ready to step in to front line rotation right away.
