This is a different team than past ones we are mentally tough as nails I see us taking care of business, with Rondo dominating to open the game. This current C's team has been very good about closing out teams at home. We've only failed to do so in 2008-2009 against Orlando.
yea read the stat about how in general we haven't been so good, at home though they should get it doneThis is a different team than past ones we are mentally tough as nails I see us taking care of business, with Rondo dominating to open the game. This current C's team has been very good about closing out teams at home. They'll get it done, but its going to be a dog fight if we do win. Miami is every bit as good as the C's. Three close games and we managed to come out on top, but if Chalmers hits a few more open 3s it could all be different.

Got a feeling the Heat are going to take this one easily. Bosh was pretty [dang] effective in those 12 minutes (9 points and 7 rebounds) and extended time will be a blessing for them. No way does Miami drop 4 in a row to Boston. Keep in mind they still have the best player alive (King James) and arguably the 2nd best player on the court (though KG and Rondo have seemingly outplayed Wade so far). When you have that kind of talent... forget it. LeBron has yet to have a "LeBron" game where he goes off with like... 45 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds. He's due. That entire team is due. I don't think we stand a chance in this game... total massacre. Then when it goes back to Miami for game 7... forget it. Series over in a landslide Heat victory. Thrilled that Boston pushed them to 7, but this is still Miami's series until otherwise noted.
Keep in mind that in 2009 we managed to choke a 3-2 lead against Orlando... and in 2010 we managed to choke a 3-2 lead against the Lakers in the finals. This will not be any different. On the bright side, we'll avoid the embarrassment of being swept by the Thunder in the next round.
Hat's off to Boston for the good job and good effort, though. Hope I'm wrong.
If you guys remember, Shaq and Kenny predicted a 4-2 win for the C's in this series. They said, last night, that Celtcis have a chance to close this out and send the Heat home because of the offensive and defensive diversity this team has!Dino Raja, is that you? :D
So, with the heart of a champion, let's finish this up guys!
Support from Croatia! ;D

Yeah, I think so too. I expect a very strong performance from Miami tonight. Their best game since game one. I think Bosh will get a lot more minutes too and that he'll give them a lift. I think it's going to take a very good performance from Boston to knock Miami out tonight.
I also think there is a smaller but significant chance that Miami bottles it and give the C's a great opening to close out this series. They haven't been the strongest team mentally and they are not a sure thing to respond well here.
I think they will, respond well, but there is definitely a sizable chance that they don't.

Watching Broussard and Jon Barry pretty much beg the Miami Heat to pull it out...disgusting. Those two make Mike Milbury seem impartial on his national broadcasts of Bruins games.

glad to see you keeping up the good luck charm ;)
Celtics please win this for America so we do not have to hear about the Miami Heat for the rest of the year.
man, I want this win so bad for the celtics!!! Come on guys, this is it!!!
I'm trying to think of another player in any sport that has won nothing but individual awards but gets a full 1 hour pre-game show devoted to him. At least Wade has won a championship. To listen to ESPN the Celtics basically have just gotten hot in a game of dice, nothing more. Very frustrating.

Go C's -- Come out smokin' and stomp for 48!

The thing is, even if we win this, we will here about the heat even more for the rest of the year.

Absolutely horrific. How do they come out in a game like this and play so poorly? Mind boggling. Miami has taken the crod out of the game.

Worst quarter the C's have played all series...just wow
Oops, got the start time wrong! [dang]apparently so did the celtics
Oops, got the start time wrong! [dang]
We are playing like we have that 1 game cushion to fall back on >:(I hate that because the last time they had a one game cushion they lost.
We need a few Ray Allen 3 pointers!!!
james not coming out tonight. and it is basically going to be wade and james scoring...
Van Gundy: LEAVE LEBRON ALONE!!!!!!I wish they would stop coddling and babying a grown man the way they do.
im lost without you
i cant help myself
how does it feel
to know that i love ya baby
Celtics look out of gas...if they can't put it together this thing will be over by halftime.
miami wants it and is doing what needs to be done. Celts, not so much. disappointing to see them not come out and try to put this team out of its misery from the opening tipJust because we're losing doesn't mean we aren't trying.
How do they come out and play like such crap? On the verge of being blown out of the building. Lebron killing them. He might go sall 48. So discoursging.
King James and Miami were due. Not surprising that they play better when 1/3rd of their team is back (Bosh)...
At least we pushed them to 7 games. Proud of our guys.
james going to score 50 plus and single handed beat the celtics tonight. this is awful. why can't this team do it the easy way?

Whoch heat Jersey do you wear to bed
oddly enough, Bass is the only one who appears to have shown up ready to score tonight
Clearly a kicked ball.Yet, these refs have the intelligence and awareness of a jelly doughnut.
Bsad rondo picks a bad time to show up
Clearly a kicked ball.
Miami's figured out a strategy to keep Garnett etc. from getting paint catches: foul, hold, and stand in the paint the whole possession.
Bsad rondo picks a bad time to show up
He's on pace to have a double nickle with 2 missed shots. He's destroying us by himself right now. He deserves some credit. Lol.I don't want to miss a transcendent LeBron James game. Refs as usual interfering. Gotta get golden boy to game 7
I doubt itClearly a kicked ball.
I think the refs will over-turn it.
we winning this gameSHO NUFF
dont let lebron trick you into thinking anything else
Should we just rest our starters the rest of the way?
come on people
It's a game of runs
We'll get ours
and they will fold
got give james props on that one
wow
So far, lebron won't let the heat lose. Amazing performanceyeah, he's actually playing like an MVP and not exactly doing it with the refs help either.
Lebron James is from another planet. A human being shouldn't be able to do what he does
this ref crew is abysmalterrible calls. Game changers
Stop forcing passes and stop forcing threes...
Terrible
That sucks, handing them points at the end of the half. Of course, it should have been a foul on Battier.Refs missed two fouls and a travel by the heat and they converted for 6 points....
Stop forcing passes and stop forcing threes...
Terrible
If this offense continues into the second half, say goodbye to this series.

Because Boston can't win in Miami...
Right...
There goes the idea of keeping it under 10. If Bron wasn't absolutely destroying us by himself we'd be praising Rondo for carrying Boston right now.
For the record, that was a clear offensive foul on Lebron (called on kg). No question about it.Yup, was coming down and just karate chopped him with the ball.
Seriously, what the **** is wrong with these refs? There were two uncalled kick balls in the first half, and at least one uncalled travel, not to mention the various bull**** fouls called or not-called.
Trying to force ball movement when he doesn't have a shot. There goes the idea of keeping it under 10. If Bron wasn't absolutely destroying us by himself we'd be praising Rondo for carrying Boston right now.
he's made a bunch of awful passes though
this ref crew is abysmal
Let's hope this series continues to follow the Spurs/Thunder narrative.
Not too worriedLeBron will slow down and his teammates aren't doing enough offensively to make up for that. They will be vulnerable in the second half and give the C's a large opening.
- LeBron is 12-14 FGAs for 30 points
- The rest of his team is 9-25 FGAs for 25 points
I think Boston will make a run in the third with a fresh Paul Pierce leading them on.
Refs have nothing to do with this. All about turnovers, rebounding and Lebron playing like the best player on the planet.
Let's hope this series continues to follow the Spurs/Thunder narrative.
Spurs don't have Lebron James. We are toast. Its win or go home for the Celtics. Zero chance they win game7 in Miami

Calling it now - this is gonna go like a repeat of Game 7 in 08, with LeBron dueling Rondo instead of Pierce. And the same result - LeBron gets more points and loses the game.

maybe...but i don't think boston is pulling this one out tonight.
Rondo 7-10 FGAs and 5-7 FTAs for 19 points. Even if you add the 5 turnovers, 7-15 FGAs, he's still playing pretty darn good out there.Yup, he needs some more help other than Bass though.
5 assists, 2 boards, 3 steals to go with the 19 points.
Let's hope this series continues to follow the Spurs/Thunder narrative.

I don't know looks to me like everything's favoring the Heat, Pierce up fakes gets man in air it's foul side out LeBron does the same he gets 2 free throws just BSRefs have nothing to do with this. All about turnovers, rebounding and Lebron playing like the best player on the planet.
agreed

I really don't want to see a Lebron vs Rondo scoring battle.
no shame in losing to best player ever. Lebron James is the greatest alltime
What's up with the Celtics losing when Rondo has huge scoring nights. Clearly better off when he's distributing and his teammates are knocking them down.
Let's hope this series continues to follow the Spurs/Thunder narrative.
Spurs don't have Lebron James. We are toast. Its win or go home for the Celtics. Zero chance they win game7 in Miami
I think the C's still have a fair chance of winning this game. Miami has a nice lead but their play isn't sustainable. This game is very much up for grabs.
And even if it goes to seven, Boston are fully capable of winning it in Miami.
Refs have nothing to do with this. All about turnovers, rebounding and Lebron playing like the best player on the planet.exactly. refs aren't great tonight but C's are their own worst enemies in this game. Rondo keeps making bad passes. PP has been an absolute disaster. Bass has shown some signs of life today but that's about it.
no shame in losing to best player ever. Lebron James is the greatest alltime
no shame in losing to best player ever. Lebron James is the greatest alltimeThey haven't lost yet. Yes they're down 13, but anything can happen in the second half.
all that good work in game 5 wasted. this team seems to need to be backed into a corner to respond like they should
Cs look tired tonight....this series feels like the 2009 one vs orlando where boston couldn't close it out when up 3-2

Bad memories of game7's on the road. Lebron James won't be denied this time.
Also, I think LJ's monster 1/2 is taking the rest of the heat out of their game a bit too. So we need to keep the pressure on LJ because he is going to cool off, it is going to happen. He isn't going to shoot 27 for 30.
and for the love of god rebound the ball and but a body on LJ when the shot goes up!!! haha no more highlight dunks off of missed shots.
sheesh i am SICK of those

There was a more recent example of a 3-2 collapse by the Celtics. On a bigger stage.
oh boy
Seemed more like a delay of game than a tech.Yup, but hey they called one on the heat earlier, refs LOVE to even things up.
maimi is not better than us
we just gotta get our act together and play Celtic's ball
Pierce needs to have a seat.agreed. at this point, put Sasha in. can't do any worse. At least he'll play D on Bron and hustle.
BASS THUMPIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BASS THUMPIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
whoa
naw my brotha
u gots to get yo own
*sippin*
That run was fun while it lasted. Then the whistles started.
So you can just hold Ray?I noticed that too. unfortunately, refs don't seem to notice

WHERE IS THE DOUBLE TEAM ON LEBRON JAMES?!We don't need to double. If they beat us with that horrible offense, so be it.
good lord. at this point just have someone run over Bron when he's shooting to screw up his shot.
Agreed -- I don't think Miami can hold this up. The cracks are there and they are widening.WHERE IS THE DOUBLE TEAM ON LEBRON JAMES?!We don't need to double. If they beat us with that horrible offense, so be it.
good lord. at this point just have someone run over Bron when he's shooting to screw up his shot.
No point. It'll still go in and he'll get additional free throws. He cannot miss tonight. I don't know why everyone said he can't shoot like this all night like it was a proven fact.
Either double team him or let him take shots and make everyone else beat you. Something needs to be done. Adjustments must be made.
seems lebrick visited the crossroads yesterday....wonder if it was a one game or 2 game deal with the devil
Lebron hasn't sat yet, so he should be kinda tired in the 4th.
If we're not bringing this down to a single digit margin, we're toast.

I wouldn't.
Just got in..looks like they need me..!
I still believe, but Lebron is just going crazy on us tonight.he's not going to cool off until C's make him cool off
LOL @ that last KG play. Sums up the game. This cannot be blamed on the refs.
Alright guys, listen. We're down 13 at the start if the 4th.. Crazier stuff has happened, YOU JUST GOTTA BELIEVE!!!!!
LET'S GO CELTICS!!!
Pierce is shooting 18% on 16 shots...If his name wasn't Pierce he'd be sitting on the bench. It's obvious he hasn't got it tonight.
I seem to recall at one point in the season we were the number 1 three point shooting team in the league. What the hell happened?Ray's bone spurs, Pietrus' concussion, Dooling's incompetence and Paul Pierce playing like Mildred Pierce
just not the celtics night....saturday will be a very very tough hill to climb...just don't think they can win a game 7 in miami
Celtics are sinking faster than the titanic...It took 2 hours and 40 minutes...
I'll be rooting for Miami in the FInals. Can't let the Thunder break the hearts of all my friends here in SEattle.
good job. Good effort.
The bright thing of the night? We got this horrid shooting night out of our system hopefully along with James shooting how he did doubt he could do it again in Miami
I love what Dooling has done for the team in the playoffs. He should have been brought in a lot earlier, defends Wade solid.
I'll be rooting for Miami in the FInals. Can't let the Thunder break the hearts of all my friends here in SEattle.

This might've been Paul Pierce's worst game as a Celtic in the big 3 era.

well I do, but can't say he didn't step up in the win-or-go-home game and put his team on his back.I'll be rooting for Miami in the FInals. Can't let the Thunder break the hearts of all my friends here in SEattle.

They're just proving the doubters right tonight.
I also dont think they'll win game 7 in Miami either. I just want the season to end now and get ready for the next one.
don't think james is on a one game scoring bender....afraid he will bring a big effort in game 7 as will wade. feel like boston is leo dicaprio bobbing in the cold atlantic getting ready to go down for good
what a crash and burn tonight is. really disappointing they played this poorly. i know james was on fire but boston has done much on either end
Bad enough losing, but a blowout. Sad
Games not over. 10 minutes.
Series far from over.
Well...p was the hero..and cannot stop looking for the feeling again...HATE the iso....

boston has 64 points with 9 minutes to go. this game is over tonight.
series is 48 minutes from being over...on the road...against a team that was just given a bunch of life and confidence....not looking good for the Cs
The next few days will be unbearable with all that "Is Lebron the greatest of all time??" talk...
just threw up in my mouth... :-X

Legendary performance. Can't hate the man put the team on his back.

Oh well. Good run. One more shot Saturday. LeBron is who we thought he was, though... shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. If you thought this game was going to be easy, you're thick. That clown will get buried by the Thunder if it comes to that besides this series isn't over yet

Losing is one thing...being blown out...at HOME?? Is a whole other.
I'm about to be physically ill.
Ok Hollins, take out LeBron/Wade here.
They have quit, which really is not acceptableagreed. not sure how I'd feel if the crowd booed them off the court. any game but this one, I'd encourage it but this could quite possibly be the last one of the year and they did get much farther than people expected (especially with all the injuries this year)
doc should pull a popovich and start pulling out his starters. play jj and moore and prepare for the next game
Going to sleep now, I have school in a few hours and I have to be studying all day for next couple of weeks for exams. I hope I'll have some more Celtic's games to watch during that span.
Good night everyone, let's get it on Saturday.
THis is why i dont like pierce. Obviously is not his fault, but i cant stand with someone who want to play the hero everytime, and doesn't understand it too old to do it.Well, besdies that ...the iso drive and roll is THE SAME THING EVERY TIME...start up top...back in......the whole league has seen that tape....one guy cover him....another go behind and steal it.....he should know better....
Pswap pierce with a rudy gay type of player and you can contend next year too.
Time to stop pretending like LeBron isn't a basketball god. This game was inevitable. When everyone wrote off the Heat against the Pacers, Bron came back with 40 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals... He's just amazing. I'm sorry if you bought the media hype and thought he was just going to wilt away and roll over against our overacheving team. He's been otherworldly all season. Hat's off to the King.
Game 7 might be just as ugly. BUt let's not feel like we "blew it". We overachieved. We shouldn't have even been this far... frankly we should have been swept in the 2nd round by Chicago. Kinda like in 2009 when we had no business being up 3-2 to Orlando... stuff adjusts. Good season. Very happy with our effort.
Legendary performance. Can't hate the man put the team on his back.
No you can't . But watching ESPN any sports news show is going to be impossible. They are going to be salivating over Lebron. Finally he is going to deserve it for this game. But it will be as sickening. Kinda like this game.
Man, I hope LeBron gets injured out there right now....a la Rose.LOL whoa
As bad as they stunk tonight I hope the remaining crowd cheers the Celts when they leave the court.Ditto
Let's stay classy guys...
Not Lebrons fault he did what he was supposed to do tonight and we didn't.
Lebron and Bosh are about to cement their legacies at the expense of our franchise. Not really unless they win a title which they aren't

goin back to miami is the best thing that could happen to us...
This team is so arrogant. This is why they never close anyone out. They feel like they can beat anyone in game 7, so they just sit back and hope the opposition lays down for them. It's going to bite them this time.

This team plays better on the road than at home. Crazy team
Celtics crowd is righteous..!!!
shut up Breen!! LBJ Clutch??? He's a beast, and today played like the MVP he's supposed to be, but he got it going his way all night.
This loss is on the Celtics and they lack of urgency. They aren't overachieving against this Miami Heat, although they were playing like warriors, overcoming the Hype, the refs and their age and injuries.
Saturday night will be uglier than tonight, but the Celtics can win if they only play their game.
Go Celtics!!

Oh so you don't get what you mean by that either. Got it.

That's pretty awesome.

It's not over until Glen Davis sings.
Go Celtics! Beat the Heat!
im really sad.Yeh, feels like this is it.
heat and lakers fans would have left in the third and forgot they were even there after 2 drinks..!Thank You now the world can see a true fanbase for their team and not a bandwagon fanbase who leaves when their team is down.
I love that the fans there are cheering them on even while they're down. I hope this is motivation for them to bring it on Saturday.truly an inspiring send off for a team that didn't show its fans the same respect tonight

Anyone just see LeBron get showered with liquid when he walked in the tunnel?
Good job, good effort!
we always bounce back from a lost like this
WE GOT THIS
Obligatory LarBrd33 post coming at you in 3... 2... 1...
Are there still laws against sodomy in Massachusetts? If so, we might be able to lock up LeBron before game 7. :'(

I was 10 assists off: 45 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists.
Ok... honestly I was just trying to keep my reverse jinx streak alive since it had worked out so well for us so far. Shame I was so [dang] right. I'm not happy about it. Oh well.
