Title: My time is off, anyone else having this problem?
Post by: Moranis on May 29, 2012, 01:17:18 PM
The post time does not match the actual time (the post time is like 4 hours ahead of the actual time).  How can I correct that?
Thanks,

Go to profile, above your avatar will be a "modify profile" option (ya I never even knew that was there either), then go to "Look and Layout Preferences" then go to "Time Offset" and put in -4.

Thanks.  Worked perfectly.

I'm having problems with this at the moment, and in the settings there's no option for time offset and can't fix it.

Does anyone know where I can change the display time of posts?

Right now it should be 7:36 pm and this post will show 3:36 pm to me instead.

The time hasn't worked right since the site changes.

I can't change it to my local time. It's not EST time either.

And recently I have been noticing that many of the posts over the last week or so have been losing their time stamp after a day or two.

For example, after a day or two, I am getting post time stamps such as:

Instead of what I should be seeing.

The time just disappears after a certain period of time. Feels like a day or two. Sometimes it's less. Fairly certain I've seen time stamps vanish on posts made earlier in the same day.

Yep, it's been like this since the site changes. Hopefully this will bring it to the attention of the right people :)

We're working on this issue.

In the interim, anybody who has an issue with this please PM me how many hours you need the forum off-set (i.e., +3 hours, -5 hours, etc.)  No promises, but I may have found a work around.
