Its time for another lineup change Doc. Put this guy back where he belongs on the Bench. And start Hollins in his place (Twin Tower look). Hollins thrives playing next KG. This way we can maximize his minutes with KG. Cut Bass minutes.

Folks, now is not the time for a lineup change.
The last thing Bass needs is to be messed with. If you want to take minutes away, fine.. But leave the lineup the way it is.

Tell that to Dallas Mavericks. Adjustments are part of the game. Hollins needs to be with KG to be effective. Bass has always been a bench player.

In the game 2 loss to Philly, Bass has 12 unproductive attempts in a row (either missed shots or TOs). His ineptness helped keep the Cs in a close game with Philly. If bass managed to convert even a third of those touches, it would have been an entirely different game.
Bass started off hitting three shots, then turned in one of the most woeful performance I've ever seen from an NBA player. The Cs would be better off playing a small lineup with KG, PP, RA, PP, and AB.
The only problem with bringing Bass off the bench is when he's paired with Steamer. Both of these guys are strugggling big time. I'm stunned at how bad Bass is choking. he absolutely sucks. Please opt out Bass and take your no rebounding, jumpshooting behind somewhere where losers like you are welcome.
Bass, you have a body of a god and the heart of a mouse.

I can't fault his effort, after he hit three shots and missed 3 or 4 more he started driving to the basket.
There he was either blocked or mugged (usually both) but I give the benefit of the doubt to attacking the rim when your shot is off.

His "drives" consisted of
1) slowly dribbling with his head down into traffic
2) fumbling the ball
3) awkwardly throwing the ball into the bottom of the rim.
Most of his drives had me longing to see that unsweet jumper clang off the rim.
Philly has made a conscious decision to not defend Bass at all on the perimeter and make him prove that he can beat them. So far, he's 9-24 from the field and an offensive buzzkill.

Start Hollins or Steims. Bringing Bass back to the bench might be a hit or miss. Hit meaning he could be better against the Sixers 2nd or miss being him losing more confidence. But that's a risk I'm willing to take. Hollins is being active in the rebounding area and is rather have that right now than Bass missing tons of jumpers and not being a help on the defensive end.

If Bass were going to the bench, I would start Pietrus. It does no good to go big against this Sixers team, who are suffocating the wings, and packing the paint. The C's defense is not an issue. The issue is offensively, and Philly has come in with a gameplan to force the C's to beat them with jumpers from PG, PF and C.
Ultimately though, the best solution is to keep going with Bass, hope he and KG can keep them in the games with their shooting, and hope that when it comes down to it, the C's perimeter players will pick up their game, and win some of the one on one battles they are losing right now.

Our one weapon against Philly and the Heat will be stretching the floor with Bass and KG both nailing open jump shots as Pierce and Rondo penetrate.
Bass will be fine, he will start draining the jumper as usual.
I hope the Hollins suggestions were sarcasm because they sure made me laugh.
