Putting up some pretty impressive stats in only 18 minutes a game:

The Idaho Stampede are affiliated with the Nuggets, Trail Blazers and Jazz but may be worth trying to work out something with them. After all, you can't teach height.

At first I thought this thread was going to be about the recently signed Ricky Davis. Thank god.
I'm always down for a 7'5 guy who averages 3.5 blocks in 18 mins.

It doesn't work that way, unless he is under contract with an NBA team then he is a FA for any team in the NBA. Much like the Cs hold no rights over ricky davis while he plays for maine.
Also would rather take a shot at Greg Smith

Ha ha.
Okay, so I'll bite: why do they play him only 18 minutes a game, with all of four shot attempts per game?
I see he shoots a lower FT percentage than Shaq and has almost 2 TO's per 18 minutes.
Addendum:
Okay, here's a pretty good current story on him:

That may be but I'd take that production over the DNP-CD that Sasha Pavlovic is ringing up.
-
was having a look at d league players
some "standouts"
jamal sampson
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/sampsja01.html
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/jamal_sampson/
jamal sampson, has been useful whilst in the nba(TS% of 52%, RB% of ~ 20% in very limited foul prone nba minutes), think he went to china after failing to beat out steamer, much rather danny sign him than hollins
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/brian_butch/index.html
brian butch, steamer's badger teammate can hit three's and board.
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/julian_wright/index.html
juliam wright, only 23, not a four, but an ex lotto pick than can play as a small 4 or on the wing, don't understand why he is unsigned, apart from the fact he doesn't hit threes
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/nick_fazekas/
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/fazekni01.html
can shoot and board, had a TS% of 55% and RB% of 19% in limited nba minutes. Not a great athlete.
http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/malcolm_thomas/
23 year old, undersized four (6-9, 225) who is ranking up
blks, board and points in d league.

Butch, Fazekas and Sampson are intriguing. The 7-5 kid I would not touch.

Strike us twice? When did it ever hit us the first time?

Stinksma...
Not exactly "lightning"... more like accidentally shocking your finger on a door handle after rubbing your socks on the carpet.

Im glad we are depending on the D-League to get us the players this year to allow us to win Número 18. I feel better now that I know we are doing whats necessary to go over the hump. Thank God! ;D

Kevin Oscar Gamble! CBA!!
-
morey looks like he signed malcom thomas, interesting how well he goes.

Is he any better than Muresan?
-
17% free throw his senior year. he would just get fouled for a free turnover.

Hey, hey, hey. the C's probably wouldn't be in the playoffs and Danny would have more aggressively peddled the Aged Three at the trade deadline if Stiemer hadn't stepped up admirably and played through two injured feet to help save the season.
If Danny were to look for a second strike of lightning from the D league, I bet he'd like to take this guy for a test drive:

I am down with this. What's there to lose? Unless we pay him more than 3 mil a year, I'd really like to give a shot on these kind of players. If he works out or not, it's not a big gamble.
7-5 260 lbs. That is one tall defender in the paint.
Though I wonder why he's not in the NBA yet. Then again, it is still worth a gamble.
-
Wasn't Steamer a D League all star? This guy doesn't even start, right? I think Steams would eat this guy for breakfast and then some.
I wouldn't mind working him out or possibly even putting him on the summer league team, but I wouldn't expect anything out of him

Hilarious!!

He now plays for the Sioux Falls Sky Force. The same team Stiemsma played for. Maybe they have a good big man coach who can transform this guy into a serviceable big man

Amen. TP.

Too bad you're not affiliated with the Celtics' front office. Great call.
