It's great to have the Bruins as a distraction between Celts games. This is the most dominant I can remember them being... ever.
Peter Chiarelli should never have to buy a drink in Boston again. There's still a long way to go, but he's built a legit team that should contend for a long time.

Man.. I wish I could be more into hockey. It definitely would make me feel better about the Celtics. I try to be more interested in it but it bores me. I root for the Bruins but I can't watch a whole hockey game. I usually only watch the 1st period and check the score the next day or catch the last part of the game. I tried but I can't sit in front of the TV for 2 and a half hours and watch hockey.
Go Bruins, though! Looking good so far in round two!
-
I'm 22, and while I admit I don't watch a lot of hockey, but this is the best Bruins team I've ever watched play.
-
Lets go Whale!

It can be boring on TV...but a close scoring playoff game can put anyone on the edge of their seat...ofcousre the bruins are winning by 3+ goals every game :P

I couldn't care less about hockey and the Bruins. April-June is playoff basketball season and that's it. Hopefully the Celts are around for all of it. GAME 7 BABY!!!
-
Ugh... sloppy play on the power play leads to a short-handed goal. Not looking good.

Versus. It's probably in the higher numbers on your cable system.

So far so good tonight.
Looks like it might be Thomas' turn to be the stonewall goalie.
OK, B's during commercials...Off to the C's!
-
Huge goal by Recchi.
-
Hairy last minute
Gotta love playoff OT!
-
poopies
-
Tough loss
-
A couple of great saves by Thomas, and a much needed goal on the other end for a 2-0 lead. Go, Bs! Now, it's time to switch over to the Celts full-time until halftime.
-
Sweet! The Bruins score, and are nice enough to do it on a commercial break. 3-0.

Scott Walker not suspended for Game 6 after his punch of Aaron Ward.
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Carolina Hurricanes forward Scott Walker was fined $2,500 but will not be suspended by the NHL for throwing a punch that may have broken a bone in Boston defenseman Aaron Ward's face.
Hurricanes general manager Jim Rutherford told The Associated Press on Monday that the automatic suspension given to Walker was rescinded during a hearing with league disciplinarian Colin Campbell. It was determined that the hit was not a "sucker punch."
Tempers flared in the final minutes of Boston's 4-0 victory Sunday in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals when Ward and Carolina's Matt Cullen began shoving in front of the Bruins' net. Walker skated in and hit Ward with a right cross, and was given a misconduct, a fighting major and an instigator penalty.
Pretty b.s. if you ask me. If you look at the video, its pretty clear that Ward had no idea it was coming. Some reports have Ward incurring a broken orbital bone. If that's the case, you gotta think he's gone for the playoffs. With Ference and Hunwick out and Chara at less than 100%, the B's are dangerously think at defensemen right now.

$2500 doesn't even constitute a slap on the wrist.
Unbelievable.
I know hockey's hockey and basketball's basketball, but Rafer gets 1 game for a slap at the back of the head and this guy gets zilch for a vicious bunch.

Good news on the Bruins front (for all those planning on channel surfing or checking the Crackberry for updates while at the C's ). Aaron Ward will play tonight.
Aaron Ward, who is sporting a purple bruise under his left eye, spoke this morning for the first time since taking a punch from Scott Walker in the third period of Game 5.
"It's a joke. It's honestly a joke," Ward said of the situation.
Ward, who will play tonight, said he was tussling with Matt Cullen prior to Walker's punch. According to Ward, Cullen had slashed him across the legs. Ward was telling Cullen he didn't like the slash when Walker came in with a punch. Ward said he didn't see Walker and never exchanged any words with him.
"I don't remember a single word being said," Ward said of the exchange between he and Walker. "I was looking at Matt Cullen. The moment I saw his right hand was when it was about a foot away from my face."
Ward said a team doctor saw "something" on an X-ray and advised him to wear a shield.
"I haven't worn one in 16 years," Ward said. "I'm not going to start now."
Ward said he never spoke with Colin Campbell about the incident.

"It's a joke...", was more about the NHL's way of taking care of the situation.

I hope the reason they didn't suspend Walker was because the league decided it was too cowardly a play to now allow the B's to teach him a lesson themselves.
Now, if the B's retaliate tonight, and the refs don't give them the benefit of the doubt, I think the fix is in.
-
2-0 B's halfway through the first.
-
Great start to another big night. Bruins have gotten their confidence back.

They have gotten their fight back. You can't thank Scott Walker for that.
-
It's amazing they lost three games in a row. Hopefully, that's the only slump they have these playoffs.
-
Doh!
-
Sweet, sweet goal right there. 3-1.
-
[dang it]...I was half watching, half typing and I heard goal SAMSONOV and instinctively got excited (yes, it's been a while since I cared about the B's)
-
Come on, Bruins. Protect this lead.
-
2 nice power play kills
hard to turn back to the C;s
-
Game 7 should be a peach
Nicely done B's
-
Wow the place is going to be nuts Thursday night. Hopefully a lot louder than it is during this game tonight.
-
Game 7 at the Garden. Should be crazy.
-
Lets hope there would be only one game 7 in Boston this weekend. ;)
-
1-0 Bs! The Carolina announcers are incensed, claiming that it shouldn't have been an icing.

LOL, they are the SINGLE WORST announcers in the game. Take anything that they say with a GRAIN of salt.
I'm not even sure if they know the rules of the game.
-
Score! 2-2! Great set up from Savard!
-
LOOOOOOOOOOOCH
-
I'm an admitted bandwagon Bruins fan from last year but this is still as nervewracking as it gets.
-
Yeah, overtime in Game 7 is *brutal*. Next goal decides the series, and possibly the season.
The Canes definitely outplayed us for most of the 3rd period. Luckily, the Bs were the ones who scored.
-
Look at the whole building standing, this is unreal.

Such a diverse crowd. White Men, white women, old white people, young white people, white kids, skinny white people, fat white people. lol
Exciting match
-
It's over. Our season is over. Can't believe it :'( :'(
-
Man I can't believe this
-
First hockey game I've watched in 20 years. Well, I actually just watched the overtime. Condolences to the Bruins fans.
-
Wow.
-
On the bright side I don't have to feel guilty about going to bed for a 2nd OT (cause I think I was headed there)
-
Unreal. :(
-
Hopefully not a foreshadowing of the Celtic's fate on Sunday.
